This item is awesome and is better than the necro epic IMO. I was lucky enough to get this item on my server, Cazic Thule. The only downside is having to explain how I got it and my title over, and over, and over. hehe
And I have it! Stats are correct in picture above.
If this quest has not happend on your server and anyone does this quest, make sure you are the first one back to say the ring has been obtained.
Thats how I won it and another "Malevolent" above says the same.
Note: As a caster I cannot carry it in the second hand, im sure that is there only for the selected worriors choosen.

Guildie got this as part of the quest. I wasn't sure went on to get this really nice weapon. His name is Grillie the Malevolent 28th Troll Warrior.

I played with your troll friend. He was wielding something else and asked if we minded that he wanted to work on his 1hb which was really low at the time.
I noticed his last name as the malevolent and the proc going off saying ...malevolence.
This is neat that he got it through a GM quest. I've never seen or hence participated in a GM run quest. To me they are mythical. Even the actual artifacts seem the same as well.
I've only played since winter when EQ came out.

Gazzuk was never in Oasis at all, a Dark Elf started the quest and managed to irritate the GMs. We have a full log from Befallen to the end on our website at shadowshifters.iwarp.com. An entertaining read, and might give some insight as to what they were looking for?

I am the owner of Malevolence on Bertox. They gave my necro the title the Malevolent. and gave me this awsome weapon which is alot better use then then my epic. I also got another item called the Idol of Innoruuk which gives 4 int 3 sv magic and fits in range (Innoruuk deity)

Is that the person who received this on our server was KOS to necros in Third Gate, lol!
The GM had to /kill that SK guard that roams up and down the hallway past the place where Innoruuk appears so the guy could finish the quest. RIGHT in front of Innoruuk :D You'd think they would have switched the quest "winner" at that point, but no...thx scripts. :D
I have to admit to a lil bit of annoyance about this, because not only did I find the Baron in Befallen before the "winner", I also RPed my *** off for 30 min before he ever made it there lol. Plus being KoS to necros in the home of Innoruuk's Children... *shrugs* Go figure. :P
I guess they decide who the winner will be in Neriak before they ever get to Befallen, and it doesn't matter what people do after that as far as performance or finding the Baron first in Befallen.
Oh well, I did get a lame 2hb that will sit in my bank forever and not get used...or maybe just deleted lol. If it at least had a neat graphic it would be cool but it looks like a Velium Staff. =/

I beleive its set so that whomever found the fallen rogue in Oasis, and carries the message that he has back to Dorvias, will get Malevolence.
I returned the message to Dorvias, and started a small group to goto befallen to get the ring. Although i didnt get the ring, a member in my party did.
After returning the ring, since i brought the message i got Malevolence, and the rest of those ppl in my party received some nice items as well.

On Torvonnilous this went to Gazzuk the Malevolent, Troll Shaman at level 14! My understanding of the event is that there were several different prizes given out for various levels of roleplaying. This item IS an artifact, which means there will only be one per server, ever. Imagine my guild's pride at having this nifty thing on one of our lower levels!

This weapon looks absolut amazing! Even my little DE Necro would kill to get one, not just the melee types out there.
What confuses me is that this item is marked as an artifact and according to this site there are at least several people who own this weapon, some of em being pretty 'low' level.
So, is Verrant really giving an artifact like that away that often to so many lower level players? That doesn't make much sense to me. I don't know how tough the event was but if a lvl 20 guy can finish the event victorious and recive such a reward it doesn't match the risk vs. reward thing VI is always talking about. This item is even better then lots of the stuff that drops in Sleepers Tomb!
I am not complaining that someone doesn't deserve such an item or that I am jealous about it (ok, I am a bit, hehe), but if they nerf droped items from ubermobs because they would unbalance the game and then give out such items out to lvl 20 players is very odd.
Anyway, grats to the all guys who got this!

I was awarded this prize after completing the event. And for once im glad. im not a HIGH lvl player, im 48, but ive read the people on other servers as low as 35 have received this. Its about time verant and the quest troupe did something that EVERYONE was able to get in on. Im glad that a lvl 9 person in my group of lvl 40+ was able to do this quest and receive a nice mage items. Finaly a gm event that doest consist of twinked lvl 60's travelling to some high lvl zone to slay a vile creature.

There is only one of these PER server. I don't know how many servers this event was on, but only one person on that server will carry Malevolence.

This weapon would be amazingly good on a warrior.
Just think about that : Slot Primary/Secondary.
A 19/29 with amazing stats and proc in the secondary hand. WOW !
Sure, there are not so many dark elves or human warriors worshipping Innoruuk out there, but maybe on one server...

Yes, this weapon really does exist. I was the lucky recipient of it over on the Luclin server. Also, the stats in the picture are NOT doctored, those are the actual stats. This weapon rocks when it procs. I've actually made a point of raising my dex just to make this beast proc more often.

Yeah this does exsist, a friend of mine on tallon zek was rewarded with this. It was acuttaly a pretty cool quest. Inny came down in 3rd gate and everything, and my friend was rewarded with the name "Zjen the Malevolant". Hense the stick's name is Malevlance. Looks like a velium brawl stick equiped and effect is a 350 or so lifetap DoT

I have a Chord of Vines, which is a DEITY specific waist slot items, for Tunare Worshipping High elf Magicians only.

Also, when it says deity:innoruuk, it's slightly off set.
Also, Malevolence was the sword Lanys was putting together out of artifacts to take over the world and kill innoruuk with. She never constructed it. This sword probably does not exist.

Proc is a lifetap for 33 pts per tick for 10 ticks. (330pts/1 minute)
A few guild members and I found the Rogue in Oasis... We went through what we thought were the correct motions, but we failed somehow... I guess we didn't get the ring... I thought we had went through all the correct motion. It would have been nice to get this weapon for my two partners, although I, being a Rogue, could not wield it... Too bad we messed up /sigh Maybe next time...
BTW: We are on the Tholuxe Paells server... Guild is Dark Diplomacy...

Hiyas Meadbh! was hoping to see your post here. the item itself looks like a baseball bat with spikes *shudder*. when Meadbh told be she got the item i was like *pfth, just another item* but after seeing THESE stats?!!? this item kicks ***** too bad im a dark elf enchanter that worships the almight God Agnosticus... this item is as far out of my grasp as can be possible...
Spelling error is in the Spell.dat. I just looked it up with EQCaster and that post is correct according to what I just read. Right up to the mispelled caught.

I had the honor of taking the message from the fallen rogue in oasis to Dorvias in Neriak. There he instructed me and my group to seek out the Baron in Befallen and to retrienve Lanys' ring for him. We did such. Following was a ceremony regarding the final resting place of Lanys' body, with an appearance from the great Innoruuk himself. Innoruuk bestowed upon me the name Mylke the Malevolent, and also gave me this nice toy - MALEVOLENCE. I almost lagged myself out taking screenshots, it was a good event regading Lanys' body and her final resting place in Neriak 3rd Gate. This new toy is better than my epic quest weapon so im not going to bother with that quest.
UBER thanks to my group Loaki, Vendril, Nerachnia, Jeller, to whom without, i dont think we would have retrieved the ring and gotten the rewards we did.

There was this SAME EXACT GM event on Prexus 2 days ago. cept what was awarded was a 6ac haste earing (no drop) an enchanter won it stupid VI...
They gave an epic like weapon in a GM event.

Actually they can spell, but out of thousands of items, I think I could allow them to mispel one occasionally. Not everyone is "perfect" like you guys.

Yes, this is the next part of the Death of Lanys T'Vyl event. It involved retrieving a ring from her corpse and returning it to a servant of Innoruuk. Those involved were rewarded this, or other nice items (ac2, +10 int ear, etc.) For a GM event involving mid-level players, these are VERY nice items.

Heh... I got a Glowing Black Stone in a GM event recently... I think I was level 5 or so, enchanter... Some pixies invaded GFay and were playing tag with people... and at the end, people got stuff... I got the GBS, someone got Ivy Etched Armor.. there were a couple of other items, but this was a couple of weeks ago...
