The Erudites, fighting the Heretics, created the Hold in one of the battles, not a gnomish cleric named Drednever. Drednever, as memory serves, is one of Fironia's friends. Please, read the Lore located either here, or on the Harpy's Head Tavern, www.everquest.com.

To me, GM items are GODLY... and you want to know why... they are ORIGINAL... seriously, how many pieces of Crafted armor are going to be made, and don't you get a little bored of seeing that dwarven ringmail tunic and that sarnak emblazoned tabard. I would be honored to have ANY item that would make my character different from the rest... That seems to be the only downfall to EverQuest... everyone looks the same.

tildar is lvl 51 i should know i hunt with hilm all the time but this does not mean that it wasn't one of his alts that got this ring..... gratz tildar

all gm event items don't have to have "uber" stats. some people may wear it just because it is a unique item. also, not knowing what level the event was for also makes it hard to determine if the item is "crap."
My impression that the item given out in GM events is directly proportionate to the level of the person receiving it. I participated in one at 45, and received a very nice piece of neckwear, (AC 6 wis 10 hp 10) though comparing notes with the rest of the group who were rewarded, someone else in the same event received a belt that was, I believe, AC 6 str 10 int 10-- distinctly better, but they were a good five levels higher.
This was probably the reward for someone in their 20s, in which case its pretty good, eh?

Maybe something an ENC would like to have(and at that low to mid level) but they can't even use it.
The only thing thats good on it for those classes is AC and PERHAPS the 20 mana if they have allready got over 200 wis. I still think for a GM event it's crap.
