well none of the new stuff drops as i know it-a week ago ive been leveling with my rogue in the new befallen killing the bats and the priest PH-got one Vortex Veil but the mace never dropped, but now befallen is back to old, i guess the story line finished lanys t'val or what not got sacrificed. but the old befallen has a halfling in one of the bat spawn rooms-quest mob but broken when my group tryed to work with him.
Got 2 of these...

Two days ago. I was camping the guy for the robe, actually, but as luck would have it, two scepters dropped. Unfortunately, I don't need the scepter! =D Was good to see it still dropping tho. :)

Item used to drop of Primordial Ritualist, but I believe they nerfed it.

Camped all weekend and nada.

Also looks like veil and robe have been removed.

THE ITEM!!!!!

This is a item disscusion, not a class disscusion. I have read through every post and I STILL dont know anything more than what the item description tells me. Anyway PLEASE someone tell me who drops this thing, and where it spawns!!!!!!
About the class thing, who cares what class is better, the skill of the character depends 100% on the skills of the player. Please take class disscussions elsewhere.

Befallen has reverted back to it's normal self. I took my 43 cleric there the other night after the patch and all the new mobs had gone.

*Cry*

I REALLY wanted that sceptre :(
Spawn time
# Jul 03 2001 at 6:00 PM Rating: Decent
I've killed him probably close to 10 times now and he hasn't dropped it once. Goto the lage room on the third floor and go west. You'll go through one other door and then through a broken door. There are three spawns in the room two Enslaved followers and his PH. The Enslaved followers spawn every 15 minutes where the PH spawns every 35 minutes. The place holder is a Ritualist.

Hope this helps,

Thanks for the info i just found out this today through trail and error not much error luckily.
I would like to add to this that the Primodial ritualist's PH(the ritualist) spawns every 35 minutes but after she is killed 35 minutes later it is a about a 50/50 chance that the primordial ritualist will spawn out of 5 spawns it went ritualist,,, primordial ritualist,, ritualist,,, primordial ritualist, ritualist,, ritualist i had to leave after this. I have now seen him 4 times total and all of these times he has drop absolutly nothin good except a rock and some cash. So in other words the scepter is an extremly rare spawn.
Hard to find
# Jul 02 2001 at 1:41 AM Rating: Decent
I have spent literally 5 hours down there and never saw the premodial ritualis Zvier spawn once this place is a pain. if anyone can tell me the spawn time or whether its just random post it. Thanks i will keep looking and post if i find anymore info..

You know I am really glad Verant has modified befallen, it was a truley dull dungeon, and I am also glad they put in all this neat no drop armor, for lower levels to EARN on their own. The one thing I wish tho is that they would allow no drop items to be sold to vendors, it would be very simple to write the code so any no drop item the vendor buys is destroyed not put in its inventory. I say this because I worked really hard to get some of my no drop items and when they get rendered obsolete by a better item I am faced with either destroying it (A tastless option for something I spent hours to attain) or banking it, all the while saying to my self well this will be good for such in such (RIIIIIIGHT). If we could sell these items to vendors for any ammount it would be infinitely more fair and less troublesome. Seems like so little to ask of a game we pay for <grin>.

There's a reason that things are made lore and no drop, and not sellable to merchants. Picture it, you're looking so forward to getting a particular item with great stats on it. You finally fight your way through hours of combat to get to the place that you want and here's some level 60 character farming the item so that he can sell to a vendor and make some quick cash.

Nothing wrong with farming for profit, but there have to be some limits and that's why they make some items lore and nodrop.

I am very satisfied with destroying any no drop items that I can not possibly ever have another use for. I know that one of these days, I would probably sell a high end no drop planes item for a vendor and have it destroyed. The thing about accidently selling a dropable item to a vendor is that you can work through the junk and get it back near the top so you can buy it back. If it is destroyed.... you are SoL. "/petition I just sold my epic to a vendor.... please help me" "GM/Guide: I am sorry there is nothing we can do to restore items sold to a vendor." Not so bad for lower levels. Potentialy HORRIBLE for higher levels.

I agree whole heartedly. I have mistakenly sold items i had purched to vendors, and kick the hell outa myself when that happens.(a rarity, but sometimes we make mistakes) Any way i could not imagine having just sold a UBER item to a vendor.
Thanks Verant for safe guarding my stupid moments :)
RE: A thought about no drop

All valid points, but on the profit thing, note I said selling NO DROP items, I never said anything about making more items non lore. I think Lore is a great thing, it makes people share, some of the better items in my inventory I have because they were lore and some uber guy didn't want to let it rot. As for the selling to an uber item to a merchant, I am sorry to say I just don't agree we should be safe guarded from things like that, lots of stuff that is uber can be sold to a merchant and trust me buying any of it back would make you cry. One more note on profit, many no drop items already have a value in their price slot, granted most of them are drastically undervalued for their capabilities but even that ammount would be preferrable to me than destroying it. For example a fur lined coldain prayer shawl is worth 7p to a vendor (not that I would ever sell it). Would you go through all of that hassle and all of that pain in the butt for a measely 7p? No you wouldn't, but if you came accross some thing nicer (that wasn't the next shawl level) wouldn't you feel alot better about that 7p than clicking the yes button on the destroy pop up. I know I would, so make some things worthless, alot are already, but things like quest items (runescale cloak leaps to mind here) put a small value on them and make them sellable.

Well, i saw the pristine bp listed and thought i would go get it (not noticing it is no drop of course). I am a 35 warrior (yep, was going to pass it to an alt who need str items, in fact, i took her in there first with a friend who plays a 31 warrior). well, I walked in with my 11 warrior, thinking i would kill a few things on the first floor and look for the bp and anything else nice, with my friend playing backup. Lo and behold, he started getting nuked on the first floor and his hp started dropping. My poor warrior did not stand a chance! got ht for 161 right away, killed that mob with her, and then started getting peppered with other spells (see clerics notes on other post) adn had to zone. my friend followed shortly after. Woke up my 35 warrior, jumped down the well like i am used to doing (stupid, stupid, STUPID!) and proceeded to have a nonstop fight with dots, nukes, etc being cast on me and getting xp! high green yeah, but xp. my friend said they conned blue on the 3rd floor. By the time a druid friend came and got us out, the 31 warrior had died and i was down to 20 hp.

Anyway, the purpose of this post is simply to say, Befallen has become much more interesting. On one hand, i am sad cause the armor is no drop, as is so many of the new items here, on the other, i am glad, cause i am going back with my 11 warrior and my friends 16 sk to get xp and loot for themselves. I would like to invite any others along on druzzil ro in the same level range for some great xp, lots of fighting, and loot. the no drop status will keep it clear for the younger ones from farmers (like me at times).

so, look me up as jlani, a de warrior, lvl 11. she'll be in befallen.

This may not necessarily be easier...Befallen has changed. I walked in there with my 31 Cleric, and almost got killed on the first floor. There are Dark Elves in there, but they do not appear to be on any other Dark Elf faction, only Befallen Inhabitants faction. They are Scowling to me at least, and agg regardless of level. There are also some new skeles, and some new Ghoul-looking things, named "a defiled corpse," but they are half the size of normal ghouls. On the first floor, I would guess they're around level 10 to 15, but they cast on me like nothing. Mostly necro dots, mage nukes, all pretty low level spells, but when you get like 10 or 15 of these guys casting 30 point dots and 15 point nukes on ya, it adds up, I couldn't resist ANY of it. >=( I think this has to do with the upcomming war, there's a site with info on this war, the Karana plague is involved, I believe was actually the beginning. =P I'll post the link here. =)

#Anonymous, Posted: Jul 08 2001 at 6:45 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) The fact that druids can quad-kite is totally inconsequential, because they still suck. It wouldn't matter if they could hex-kite or dec-kite.... no one would ever want to group with them. Why do you think people are selling ES BP's all the time? Because dr00ds aren't allowed to go on a Trakanon raid! Happy trails!
#Anonymous, Posted: Jun 29 2001 at 12:08 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Druids can quad kite reds? I'm a druid, and this shows proof that you know NOTHING about Druids what-so-ever. So shut up half-wit. Either have something intelligent to say or nothing at all. So I guess you'll have to be quiet for a couple days.

Perhaps it WAS a bit of an exxageration, but Druids CAN multi-kite, I know druids who have. I have, I play a Druid myself (Newbie, lvl 5, but I've kited reds with her), I have a Druid friend who kited 4 blues at level 5 and now in mid-twenties kites reds...do you know HOW to play your class? Please don't flame me about "Knowing NOTHING about Druids," the point I was trying to make is, do Druids or Clerics really need the equipment more? Who can benifit the most? Druids get SoW, Camo, AND Snare, Clerics get nothing like those unless you count IU, but I wouldn't. =P I have no problem with Druids, I just have a problem with anyone who plays a powerful class and complains about how they can't be a MORE powerful solo class. >=( Now we've turned an item discussion into a class argument...so I won't post anything further on the subject. =P

So full of crap. Perhaps you need to know that multi-kiting, or quad-kiting, means using snare and AE spells to kill mobs? Which you don't at level 5.

Between, druids can't quad-kite in any dungeon, and can hardly solo in dungeons, for the simple reason that every time you kill something you have to med and you can't take the hits, even from lower level mobs.
#REDACTED, Posted: Jun 29 2001 at 5:40 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) You don't NEED AE to mulit-kite. You snare, DOT, run around a bit, nuke, run around a bit more, re-snare if necessary, true I am a newbie at Druids, but I have VERY many high level druid friends I learned a few tricks from...and Can Clerics solo effectively ANYWHERE? Root has a chance to break with any DD spell, snare does not. Trying to Root-kite as a Cleric is suicide. I don't care if druids can't solo in dungeons; no one really can. Dungeons are meant for groups. Outdoor zones Druids RULE. I like druids, really I do. But don't complain about not getting the phat hookups on EVERY neat piece of wisdom gear when you can solo your way to 50 if you want to, and pretty easily at that. I LIKE druids, I an mot flaming Druids. Yes, I have WATCHED Druids multi-kite with ease. PLEASE do some research on your Class before you tell everyone what they can and cannot do...I heard of a Druid the other day at level 31 who needed an entire zone to convince he could port. =P I've met necros who had no concept of fear-kiting, I've GROUPED with a Shadowknight who didn't know what a Cleric was, and a monk who didn't know what mana was. This game is all about knowledge, and if you REALLY know what you're doing, and are careful about it, a Druid CAN multi-kite. I admitted that when I said quad-kiting reds I was exxagerating, and I'm sorry about that. I did not mean to offend anyone, but you have to understand that I hold no sympathy for a class that can solo reds if they feel like it, while I'm sitting here hoping I don't get a blue on me, cause it'll tear me up if I can't get a stun or root off on him so I can gate out of there.
RE: nice
# Jul 01 2001 at 12:31 PM Rating: Decent
You do need AOE to multi-kite. Multi means more than one. You can tag kite without AOE, but is really not effective, and only used when trying to save your own butt with an add. Mostly in Multi kiting you do not dot. You are describing Kiting only. No multiples there bucko. Also It is not really even slightly effective to try to multi untill you hit 34, and even then, without good mana/wis gear, you could run out of mana before the mobs run out of life.Root Kite is an oxymoron. Kite is called such because it is similar to someone running with a kite following them in the air. Root is stationary. This time you are talking about root-nuking. Dungeons can be soloed in parts by certain classes. In fact untill recently (not sure about after the revamp) Befallen hosted many soloing clerics. Necro's are the kings of solo dungeons. Mages are veritible powerhouses many times solo. Druids cannot kite reds consistantly forever either. It seems you are just reeling trying to suck back your previously dumb comments with more of the same. Give up bub, as it seems to be a hopeless cause for you.
RE: nice

So...you are saying that the terminology I used is incorrect? Darn, I called a particular action something other than what you would. No, I am NOT BSing here. What I mean by MULTIKITE is just that MULTI = more than one. When I say MULITKITE I mean kiting more than one mob at a time. I have watched it done by a druid in his twenties. And, just because you don't DOT while kiting doesn't mean anyone else does...everyone I've heard mention Root kiting has called it that...hehe it kinda is kiting...Root, nuke, nuke, root breaks, re-root as he chasing you down...nuke, nuke...etc. I know, that's pushing it...but you're flaming me for TERMINOLOGY?! Remember here, this game is comprised of multiple servers, perhaps the terminology for some activities on your server are different than mine.
Yes, Befallen could host a solo cleric...at either level 10, or 25. =\ I know, I've done it. By 25, you still get chain-agged by high greens who barely give off xp, and it's really not worth it. At level 10 I was making a killing in there off Lrodd and the second floor mobs. =) But I usually partnered with a friend of mine...she was a Druid, actually. She since quit that char, started a necro, and barely plays anymore. =\
I'm 31 now, soloing a bit on the bottom floor of Befallen, low to mid blues...root nuking, or kiting, whatever you want to call it.
Please, if you are going to flame, flame about something more relevant than what different people call something. With as many servers as there are, there are bound to be different names for things. Perfect example, do Necros "Fear Kite," or "Reverse Kite?"
Bah. =P
Has anyone else noticed that I'm just about the only one in this series of posts who hasn't resorted to petty namecalling and insults? Just a thought...anyone who actually wants to DISCUSS this, make a character on Brell, and send me a tell if I'm on.

First of all , im not flaming you.

When you say multikite you mean killing multiple mobs , ok , but why would anyone wanna do that without using ae nukes ?

There is no point in snaring two mobs then nuke one and then the other...

And as you say , it might be called something completely different on your server , but if you are snaring multiple mobs , use ae nuke.. or its pointless... its even more risky that way than just pulling one and kiting normally.

(and if you can't do that outdoors with a druid quit playing .. 8)

Oh , multi also works fine when youre rooting , just root and snare a couple , and dot with arms... you can have a lot parked like this , but it can also be risky... i did this at lvl48 something on the walruses in eastern wastes.. was hunting for an ulthork bp (that christmasy look)

Tho if a couple gang up and root breaks the beat you down like theres no tomorrow...
RE: nice
# Jun 29 2001 at 8:27 PM Rating: Excellent
I have a 51 druid , i have quadkited (multikited) for atleast 15 levels.. and the whole point in MULTIkiting is that you do more than one , using snare and ae nuke... what you describes as multikiting is merely , well , kiting.. snare and nuke or dot away.... ONE mob = kiting , more mobs = Multi kiting (or Quad kiting cause the ae dd hits only 4 at the time...)
