I had this drop off one of the Sergeants in Kael Drakkel today. He also dropped a Long Sword and a Beserker's Sword. He was using a sword and the dagger on me during the fight.
Funny I was soloing gnolls in splitpaw and one had this on me and it kept proc weaken and kicking my ***! Of course when I got it and decided to work a little on my piercing skill it never procs. Gonna give it to a necro pet I guess.
I bought this bugger for my inky necro on an impulse, since I just happened to have the change on me. I figured what the hey, all my spells were already purchased so let's try it. Without the proc, this weapon is still not noticably better than any other dagger I've used. On top of that, I paid like 32 platinum and the resale value is strangely under 1 platinum. I could have gotten a Drachnid Leg Tip for 41 platinum and a better damage ratio. I forget how many shmucks tried to replace Curly, but I'll just say I felt like the Fourth Stooge.
This weapon is usable by Beastlords (they somewhat specialize in piercing). My question is, does this imply that one of the listed races can be Beastlord? I don't recall seeing, for example, any weapons usable by ranger that aren't usable by a race that can be ranger, etc, even though the other way around is often broken (e.g. something rogue only usable by all non-large races). I'm hoping for a halfling beastlord when SOL comes out.
I tend to stock up a whole bunch of these when I take my 37th warrior by the lair, He really has no use for them but I was wondering if giving them to my lower level sk would help, and could the pet make them proc?

As a newbie Necro, this dagger was the coolest. It was magical and it did ok damage. I used it up to the point that i could afford a dragoon dirk. I would suggest giving it to some (un-twinked)newbie as a gift, they'll thank you for it.
Mine processes the effect at level 15. As a necro dark elf with decent deterity who still does melee alot, I can usually get it to fire off every battle or two. Combine this with the Vampiric Embrace spell and you've got a double proc. Its not great at 15, but its fun.

I did get a cool weapon called a Crystalized Shadow Spear. Have not seen one any info about it but a great rogue weapon. I am just level 11 so this is great. Lots of plus points. I will add this weapon here later after work.
Take that shadow spear to Stonebrunt mountains, and do the quest spirit aid, listed on this site. I think you will be very happy with the weapon you end upo with. +5 to all saves.
