Grimling Soulgem  

 

This drops off of "a grimling soulstealer" in Acrylia Caverns.

It is part of the General's Challenge quest.

You must first see the imprisoned grimling in Grimling forest and say "key" to get a no rent key. This key unlocks the door to Trondol Shir.

From there you must do the high priest's ring to get another different no rent key that unlocks Trondol Shir's shackles. Once he is free, 3 undead skeletons will spawn and try to kill him as he runs off. In addition, all the mobs along his path are KoS to him so it is best to pre-kill his route before you actually free him as he's very weak.

Unfortunately, you must do both events twice to get your Shackles of a Vah Shir Captive as you must turn in the Soulgem to Trondol before it reaches a certain part of the script. If you fail to do so, he dies, then the Grimling Soulstealer becomes targetable. Once you kill the Soulstealer, loot this gem and then wait for Trondol to respawn. Then do the high priest ring again, then free Trondol again. You may turn in the soulgem at any time after he has been freed to get your shackles.
