In the gloves you combine 3 ground spawns, the dismembered finger and thumb and the mutilated forearm = Hand of Glory! which goes on your key ring.

Ground spawn at +313, -567 30 actually
This drops in Drussellas room, location of drop is 315,-580. The spawn time is 45 minutes.

I have the 'dismembered finger' and the 'dismembered thumb'. Sorry, I don't remember which wings they are from. I have heard about some kind of arm, I think it is another of the key pieces. The finger and thumb do not disappear after logging (NOT no rent). I have also heard about a master key which is the result of combining the finger, thumb, arm and a fourth item in my blood encrusted glove. Does anyone know more about the arm and other item I am missing?

Where is this at in west wing? ive looked but havent seen any bags cept other quest parts.
Want to share one of the most useful sites that I have found on this zone to help out others on doing this. So far everything seems good.
My friend Jebra shared this with me. I hope that others find it just as helpful as I have. The map shows location of the ground spawns for the individual key parts needed for the master key as well as PH's for key mobs. A very good walk thru. I am still cking it out however so will try to post any discrepancies that I find.

The ONLY reason for this bag is to make the master key to the four doors at the entrance to howling stones. I just picked this up tonight. I haven't found the components, but I'll try that another day. Howling Stones is the shiznit for exp as a 56 pally. I went in there last night solo and promptly got whacked. Tonight, I went in to pick up my corpse and got trapped in a corner with no way out. Fortunately, there was a cool guild in the zone. They grouped with me for a couple of hours and showed me around the place. Highly recommended zone.

the items needed to make the permanent key are also ground spawn--one per wing. they are NOT no rent, but are VERY rare. have been to hs 5 times for a couple of hours each time and have seen a total of 2 of the items. (Neither the gloves, btw) I don't remember what the items are--partly cause I didn't pick them up, my partner did, and partly cause we've only seen the 2 items so far.
I know it's a ground spawn in HS but since I'm too low to even think about going to pick it up myself I bought this at the bazaar .. guy was asking 300pp *GASP* Heheh apparently he got drilled, a guildy told him it was a drop off of a RARE skeleton in Lavastorm mountains.. traded his 4 Slot Leatherfoot Pouch for it.. the poor guy, I explained how he got ripped hard because it was a ground spawn in a dungeon n' talked him down to 60pp, anyways my monk puts all her bandages in this now =) So I took off 1 n' a half stones.

It's actually NODROP as of 12/21/03 at the latest.
Otherwise you could farm all 4 pieces, trade them to someone, and they'd be able to combine and do a master key.
At a minimum, the person getting the key will have to pick this bag up in East. (The other 3 parts are tradable.)

I got mine in HS some time ago. I've just been real curious what the combine button was for? Anyone have an actual known reason for this combine button?
The combine button is for the 4 keys to the 4 wings. Since each key is no rent, you lose it when you log off. (When you see the dungeron, you'll understand). When you get all 4 keys, you can combine themn in this glove to make a master key to the 4 wings (though you can't go east, the stairs are illusions and you fall to the bottom).
Howling Stones/Charasis is a 50+ dungeon.... hope that helped.

Hearing this i went to HS, got all the keys and the gloves...and no luck - wouldnt combine 8(. Am I missing anything?

Well you don't combine the keys into the glove .. You combine Dismembered Finger, Dismembered Thumb, and a Mutilated Forearm .. They are all ground spawns .. Finger is in the north wing at +331, +207 .. Thumb is in west wing at -143, +623 .. Forearm is in south wing at -567, +152 .. And of course the glove is in Drusella's room ..

Read from a few posts peole have found this on the ground in Howling Stones...? I haven't played EQ for quite a bit so can someone please tell me what/where Howling Stones is?

As far as i remember the paw of opalah has the same stats, in which you put in four rins, click combine and you get an awsome item. Has anybody theorized about this being a qest of that type???

Along the lines of quest items that way a ton im going to grab one of these for doing Phenocryst Focus Quest... each stone weights like 10-12 stones and times 3 for each stone pluse the one Pheno gives you that 30+ just in the stones you gotta lug around.
(p.s. verant isn't tottally dim though many times they may seem it, anyway... Alice in wonderland, Alice was sent to get the White rabits Gloves... well that there is a Pretty mischeivious type place or maybe its just that the glove is needed to grasp the doorway to PoM. The container aspect could be a red heiring.

This can be found on the ground in the west wing of Howling Stones. It is rumored that certain items, when combined in this container, will yield a master key for all doors of the zone.

I found this item on the ground at the Lavastorm Zone , from Nektulos Forest about
4 weeks ago.
At that time the Glove was a 4 slot bag, Lore only, no weight reduction.
After the patch last week I noticed that it was now a 100% weight reduction .
I have been trying to find out what it might be used for ( quest ? ) but with no
luck. thats why i posted it.
I think that the Monk class would find it verry usefull becouse it weighs only 0.5.
As of now I have been using it to hold 4 stacks of fish (80lb) then TP to sell.
the young Druid I am, this makes me around 5pp a trip made fishing while meding.

The descriptor that tells weight reduction is new in the game with the last patch. Before that, no containers revealed their weight reduction, and players had to experiment to discover that percentage. (That's also why no one knew Handmade Backpacks were actually weight reducing all this time.) So I'm guessing the container was always 100% weight reduction, but you just didn't notice it.
Also, I just wanted to point out that a stack only weighs what a single item in that stack would weigh. So, while it's certainly great to use this bloody glove to hold your fish, you aren't saving yourself 80 lbs. of weight but only 4 lbs. You would get more practical use out of the item if you discovered some very heavy small item that you could lug around weightlessly. I was thinking maybe bricks of ore for smithing, or something that normally makes those tradeskill tasks unbearably slow. Problem is, I'm not aware of very many small items that are also very heavy.

Handmade backpacks were NOT weight reducing originally, they added that with the last patch, so READ MORE CAREFULLY

Maybe you should read more carefully cheif. They WERE 5%, then they were upped to 10% as of last patch. Get yer info strait before you yell at someone... geze...

The Gloves are found onthe floor of the West Wing in Howling Stones, Just prior to the locked door, for which you use the Silver Coin Key. It spawns on the floor every few minutes, and is rumored to be able to make a permanent key to the south wing of Howling Stones.
This bag is NOT no drop, therefore, a player must have handed this item to a creature in lavastorm to get rid of it, hoping in fact a noob may get it and find it useful. Many of us high level characters will do that with useless items.

Lol i have found this quiet tru. I was in sk killink aviaks and i decided to kill an elephant, imagine my suprise when the elephant dropped a showdowed 2 handed sword lol kind of freaked me out at first till i thought someone must have givin it to him.
Don't forget a NO DROP tagged item can be given to MOBs and scripted nonMOBS like doors.

This item has a combine button on it. I would say it has to be for a quest, not sure though. I know verant has been telling us that they are implementing many new quest in the recent patches.

they have throwing boulders(got on Vox Raid)
they are 35/34 300range..sorry but thats just..god like. i got pissed after everyone died and i threw this for a Crit(120) 144damage at the Patriarch goblin in the king room.

Yea, put items in it until they announce a fix for this item. Something seriously wrong about using gloves as a container.
