same area at level 61 killing light blues the sword seems to level as follows:
5x light blues = 1%
5x light blues = 1%

farmed about 6 hours for this today,sept 21 2008,finally dropped off a super plated gnomework, he wasn't holding it in his hands so didn't expect him to drop it, afterwards i went to the transmografier or whatever it is, and used my wrap of the eight to give it a lil xp boost to assist in leveling it, leveled it up two levels to blade of the trhrice bitten. pleasant surpise if i say so myself, took 2 levels from my wrap though so now i have a wrap of the five lol, well worth it though IMO. good luck anyone wanting this item.

I started using this weapon on a 55 shadowknight and grouped (duo) with a 75 rogue. I leveled the SK from 55 to 99% into lvl 60 (almost 61) and three AA's before the sword leveled to twice bitten. Most of the time was spent in Grieg's End or in the Deep (hot zone at the time) with the occasional Lesson of the Devoted thrown in; but regardless it was slow to evolve. I received 1% on sword for every 7% or so regular experience; different from what others have reported below. Granted Grieg's and hot zones are higher than normal experience, and maybe this bonus doesn't transfer to the evolving items? Still it's a nice sword and the final result is good, and it's a cool role playing item for my baby shadowknight alt. I just wish I could be a vampire sooner, heh.

Yesterday,i camped the a creep reaper because i want to get the Nogglegrop Fendlebar the Unwilling.But i get this Blade.....$#@$$#%@!!*&&

I'm a 55 RNG ATM and working Natimbi doing some fear-kiting with the blade to bring it up. At 100% either way (between xp and AA) I get 0.5% xp/kill, 2% AA/kill (to give a relative idea) but I only get 0.5%/kill on the blade, not the 1% Komzur said while working in Dulak. (I should note, the mobs are LB to me)
This makes me wonder:
-since I'm fear-kiting "animal" mobs and only getting 0.5%/kill, could there be a "humanoid" factor on this blade? It is Vampiric in nature, so maybe? Anyone notice any corolations out there? Thoughts on maybe how we can level this faster? I don't get a lot of time online these days, but I'll try and roam a bit and see what comes of it.

This is a really nice blade i only wish that it could only be a little faster,i payed 11,000 for lvl 2 for of this and its about to ding into lvl 4 and it was worth the 11k that i payed for it so guys that are 55+ and can use it Give it a Try its a great weapon.=)

Mega slow evolving item. Equiped it and PLved in POJ on 2nd layer of prisoners with a 55Bezerker. Was getting 1% item exp per kill(solo). So figure its gonna take 600-700 (blue)mobs to evolve this thing to final issue. Also, i was only equiping for the kill shot and it was gaining exp.
If 1% per kill is a "slow" evolution, you've never evolved a Wrap of the Three Blessings. Try 5 to 12 kills per %, also with 7 levels.

I got this for my pally he's only 51 now but I plan to get him to 55 and go to Dulak to get it hope it don't take long. I bought it on the Rodcet server for 5k which is a sweet deal now most are selling for 12k or more just for the level 1 of 6. So your best bet is buy it at level 1 and work it best thing it's not attuneable so you can sell it when you get it to the 6th lvl for 90k+. Good luck pallies

Hehe, today I was looking for some twink gear for my Pally and I saw 2 of these listed. One for 90K and the other for 5K....

5k is about right. You need to be careful when comparison shopping. Some player will box traders and set one price artificially high in order to entice you into buying of the other.

hows the exp on this thing? does it take long or not to long?
Took it out to Dulak's on a 59 Paladin, solo'd the boats for a while. Here's what I found out to the best of my insights;
1) If you do not keep the weapon equipped through the entire fight against a single mob it WILL NOT gain exp! /drat (I tried equipping it at the killing blow, no exp. Tried starting the fight with the weapon, switching out, and re-equipping it at the end of the fight, again, no exp)
2) Each kill was giving the blade 1% experience. With 100% exp going AA's, each mob was giving 1% AA exp. My conclusion (at least for tier 1 of this item) is it gains experience about the same speed as an AA. Hate to state the obvious, but, this item does not take away from YOUR experience (like Leadership might for example).
3) The item keeps any experience you gain it, so if you sell it or trade it to a different toon it will keep whatever exp you have earned into it's evolution.
