"Had these been in at the start of the game, oh man... "

ok, um. The black wolf armor has been around since very very early on. Its the whiterose armor that is new. The blackwolf armor was / is... errr was one of the best old school newbie quests. You can see a few races and classes they tried to do this with many moons ago. Unfotunately most only offered some leather armor, or cloth or what not.

and someone else posted the the facemask instead. This is HEAD, the other is face. Which even has stats, back in the day it was nearly unheard of. Its stats are identical to "grotesque mask"

Oh and another side note. This has the possibility to give you EVERY piece of armor. not just the noobie armor visables. But shoulders face and all. I might do it with an alt of this lvl and put the items in shared bank. Hes a rogue, I think they will let me... maybe.

I recently started a barb rogue on Sullon Zek. Barb rogues can only be neutral btw. Too bad halas and everfrost are controled by "goods". I had to leave at level 6 or die continuosly. Will defentitely try do this quest though. In full patchwork with bearhide belt atm.

...the crown isn't visible when equipped. :( Waaaaah. LOL. Outside of that, these quests rock. :)

A better item to get from him is the Black Wolf Mask. Its the exact same as a grotesque mask except its Barbarian Rogue only
Great rewards and Excelent xp

I have been doing this quest almost non-stop since I found out about it. Even at lv 20 I'm getting great xp from turning in the hides. I get 1 small bubble for every 4 times I do the quest! On top of the xp, you can make some good cash doing this quest. The crown is worth over 11p if sold to a vendor! None of the pieces I have received for doing the quest have sold for less than 1.4p.
Well, if you take into account...

If you take into account that this is a newbie-ish quest, it results in something a little lower than chain armor in AC, but looks like black chain, I'd have to give these quests an 8 for quality, with a -3 for timing. Had these been in at the start of the game, oh man...

And the crown is not the only result. When I did the quest, I got the Black Wolf Armplates. Didn't need em, no newbie barbarian rogues on, so I promptly handed em back to the rogue guildmaster in Halas to complete his black chain look (he was missing sleeves, hehehe).
3 Thumbs Up

To whoever posted this.
Yay

Well I'm glad someone took the time to figure that quest out...of course I'd like to know how many people will care to complete it, since the reward is patently useless. There aren't enough untwinked newbies out there to make this worthwhile on E'ci ;).

Lol. I think it is cute that an item like this finds its way between all the uber Velious items.

Grove.
