Just an update - this pic is an old one. YES, half-elfs CAN use. Also, I am 90% sure that it can be recharged, some cleric in Qeynos can recharge it, I believe. I will find out and re-post the info sometime. I do not know of any level restriction on using the charges. The fact that someone used up 2 charges and didn't receive any healing leads me to believe either they didn't target themselves before clicking or some type of server lag that was unfortunate.
The proc on this thing is not a good thing to use in combat. It can be interupted like any other spell when you get hit, and yes you would loose the charge if that happened.
I'm lv 32 and I got Soulfire couple of days back thanks to my guild ( Go TWC!) And while in Oasis trying it out in a Sandgiant group I notice uh oh I gonna die so I franticly start clicking on it (no LH) My Charecter is waving hes arms like hes gonna cast but nothing happens so I die and Loot me corpse and right click at it says I have 3 charges left I was like WTF cost me charges and it didnt do anything. Well I just wanna know if I cant cast it at 32 when can I? Can I get it recharged by any Npc?

Half-Elfs CAN use soulfire, even though on the description box it forgets to mention them. had a heart attack myself when half-way through soulfire quest I saw that and thought my half-elf couldnt use it. Have seen 3 half-elfs with soulfire, I think its an oversight

Yeah, they should implement an IQ test for this game, I can agree with that. I mean, besides the fact they would get sued up the ***, it's still a good idea. Now about the age test, yes, I find ignorant people annoying too. But you know, they're not all children. You know what I find more pathetic than 10 year olds who play everquest? Adults that play all the time. "I've had two wives, they both left me because I played too much." You, sir, are a pathetic moron. What are the 10 year olds going to do? Go out and get a job? Go out on dates? I seriously doubt it. Adults on the other hand... you should, and do, have better things to do. I have no problem with playing once in a while, even playing a lot, but if your wife threatens to leave you because you play too much, then you need to give a little thought on just how pathetic you are. I, myself, am 16. I play all the time, and so do many of my friends. I'm sure some of the people I've met in EQ have been older than me, and many of them were fun to play with. But the ignorant ones **** me off. Now, June 7th was a Thursday, acoording to my calendar. What was a 10 yeah old going to be doing on a Thursday in the middle of the summer? Probably not working, as a lot of the adults would have been. Personally, I think if there was an age limit, it should be an upper one. EQ is a challenging game, and there's a lot of stuff to learn to be able to play it, if a 10 year old can manage it, then he'd probably pass the IQ test that you wanted so badly to administer. Now go flame someone your own size.

ummm, this is a game. Getting an imaginary sword does not give you honor. If you think your "honor" is damaged by people twinking their characters to get a weapon they want, and if your getting so emotional about a game, then maybe you should calm down and go outside for once. People play the game to have fun. Let them do that however they like to do it.

So if a person got the sword on a lvl 1 paladin before it went nodrop then yes it is possible for a lvl one character to have the soulfire.

I am not as annoyed as the guy above is about this guy, however I do feel it is silly for this level of twinking. You would almost do as much damage with a rusty 2 handed sword, so what is the point. I'll tell ya, Showing off, and I find show off's to be annoying twerps usually. Quite often they have no idea how difficult it is to get the equiptment on their own, and then act like jerks to those who don't have as good equiptment. And no I don't disaprove of twinking. I have a twink of my own.

Split Paw cell closing behind you...getting out with out por
Heres how.. There are 2 gnoll prisoners in the cell with Hayle, they did not aggro me at first at 49, so get me SF...you attack one of the gnolls, he'll run out, opening the door..run out..let the one that ran go ..kill the other...
The first will return shortly, bash it to cause it to run again, this time follow till it gets to the second bar door (first coming in) Drink invis potion as he runs out , because he will get killed by guards..door open , run out...head to zone
You could simply have someone follow you there and have them pull the lever to open the cell door for you when you are ready to leave Brother Hayle's side. I had a mage friend come with me, he was good for supplying me with invis too.
From a strictly role playing aspect, it wouldn't be very noble of a paladin to kill the gnoll prisoners. They were captured and subjugated by the Tesch Mas gnolls. That would be akin to the Americans killing the Jews during the war in Germany. Ever wonder what "split paw hide gloves" are made out of? The skins of the captured (and peaceful) gnolls. (This is only for those interested in role playing, not for concern to the casual player :-)
It is an injustice to kill them, but not because they are Split Paw. The Split Paw Gnolls were as vicious as any Gnoll anywhere on Norrath. Before the Tesch arrived, Infected Paw was the sole domain of the Split Paw, and believe you me they were every bit as bloodthirsty as their captors (albeit lower level.) These prisoners are jailed because of their religious beliefs (they worship Rodcet Nife), not because of their tribe.
I guess not killing the prisoners depends on your lvl. They attacked me as soon as i walked close to them at lvl 39. here is how I got out. I had a full group with me some there to get exp in paw fighting our way in but the group had myself a ranger, bard, paladin, and a druid. we fought our way in kinda easy but when it was over and I held soulfire our druid just gated us out to the karanas. worked good if you ask me in case anyone makes a mistake and gets you all locked inside. Good luck paladins.
