Omens of WarRangers can swap, I do it for throwing items already. That said, very nice range item~!

Why would they make this for a ranger to equip? i mean its nice an all but rangers use there darn bows in range shoulda added a dif slot too it.
Doesn't really matter if a ranger equips this or not. In my guild it's going to rangers and rogues, no questions asked. It's overhaste. Our guild farms Iqthinxa Karnkvi still because of the clicky. Chances are, if somehow their bow is better they will use their bow. Simply equip and click then remove.
Well for those who don't know ranger's bow is not their most powerful weapon. Their melee > their bow will probably ever be at this stage. SoE hates rangers, the last good ranger bow aa was back in luclin era. The lack of aas and the lack of bows,the best not being much better then pop ones, while the weapons have been doubled in powers leaves their bow power to be very lacking.

Times are definitely changing when it come to how a rangers' archery skill compares to his/her melee skill. Although I cannot fully agree with Farthorn that all rangers melee skills are better than his bow, he is for the most part correct.
There does come a certain point where the rangers' melee weapons & skills he possesses easily pushes his dps noticeably beyond that of his bow. It is not this way by default though. A rangers archery dps is generally better than his melee dps for a great deal of his career until the gear and skills a ranger is equipped with allows for the exceptional ranger to easily out dps himself while meleeing.
So as long as we are not counting twinks, which I tend to not ascribe to; it actually take some concerted effort on the part of a ranger to be geared and skilled for this scenario a ranger surpassing himself to become a reality.

OMM dead again for TR, and he gave up TWO of these puppies, grats to our monk team for matching Ranges, how cute!
Seems to be a comparably common drop... we got 6 in 5 kills as well so far :p Three went to our rogue team, the 4th to a paladin, #5 and 6 to a warrior btw =)
