As mentioned in the past, "a golra" does not drop the skin and should have been removed from this page. It's long been confirmed to be om a hulking golra only.

Just a bit of an update: I've been on the island several times, and have always only seen one Hulking Golra.
My friend and I killed it last night and it dropped this skin. We killed all of the other (non-hulking) Golra's also and I didn't notice a respawn of any other Hulking types.
Plus, there's a bag of crushed diamonds on this island too, to be found.

They're all over the place, relatively common, although nowhere near as common as the regular ones. You need to go with a druid and see what's on track.

Is the skin a rare drop? been hunting hulking golra's for a day now and no skin , but good exp. Soloing is a little risky at 36 they nail ya for quite a bit of hp's per hit.Any info greatly appreciated.

I've hunted Golras from 29 - 35, then the XP was getting too bad, tried only once the hulking golra. However, never looted even one skin off them... Will try the hulking ones next :)

I'm assuming the skin drop is common. But I can reach the island easily (180 swim.) Anyways, could a 35 monk, probably 36 by then, solo some of these guys? I want the skin for my SK. My weapons are 11 25 in main and 15 32 in offhand. No haste either. I'm pretty sure I can take the weaker ones... Thanks for any info.

does anyone know where these Golra's spawn and what level they are??

Iceberg in TD, can't remember what lvl they are, were blue to me and I did it somewhere between 35-40, was also in a group.

Quick lowdown on location and lvl. I never got a skin off the golra's, just the hulking golras. I'm not saying they don't drop off the golras, but if they do they are very rare, as I hunted them for lvls 29-35. The hulking hit hard, in the upper 70's to lower 80's. The Iceberg is just south of the Maiden Voyages route from Fironia Vie. You can easily see it from the boat if it isn't raining. The ramp to the island is on the eastern edge of the berg, near a shipwreck.
and for those that cant see it from the Maidens voyage, due to rain or low clipping setting swim to -8700 by -5500 and you are there heheh
