Planes of Power
This quest was super easy. The Fire Drakes are all around him and there are many to kill that drop the ore. You do not have to do the quest before requiring mining picks (even though that one is super easy as well).
Simply kill drakes until you collect 4 Fiery Ore. Turn in and easy ring.
Edit: It does take about an hour to attempt the quest again.

I usually sell necklace and ring for 1k. The necklace in baz is 1k itself, so i sell both and they go really fast. made 23k so far and yeah im giving away all of it to newbies. A quest like this was made so there is a easy source of pp.

Okay this quest is working and can be done by someone in the teens. IF they are willing to risk the run to the north and northwest for those picks. However it only lets you have one ring. BUT, it will give more experience if you turn in extra ore.

I did this quest the other night with 2 toons and got the ring both times. Since the Dragon patch the miners are back and the quests are working once again.

ok for those of you who didnt figure out this quest there was a little trick to it all ya had to do was have 4 toons in lavastorm with 4 ores, turn in 4 on one the gnome will eat one camp out get on another hand him 4 more then camp out get on another etc etc.... then you have to wait a certain amount of time to do it again not sure on the time part... but that was it. 8)
timer is 1 hour
I was able to do the Ring quest again this weekend - it works only ocassionally and will keep one of the ores sometimes. Certainly is still a timer between successful quest turn-ins to prevent spamming (fine solution to me to the farming that was going on the first few days).

Just so you know.. I have done the turn in 10 times.. The first time after zone in, he will keep one of the Fiery Ore and pat me on my head. (Good doggie.
) I go and kill more fire drakes until I get another ore. (Fortunately, my 51 druid snares and quads them thar greenies.
) Turn in 4 ores, and get all 4 back. SIGH.... Usually there are 2 or 3 other PCs surrounding him. Twice, the person said they got the ring as I walked up. Oh well, back to POK, Nexus, Dulak, wherever.
I hate hearing people that do not want the ring are just turning around and selling it.. I need the wisdom boost, yet people who just want it for plat seem to get it. HOW ABOUT IT SONY? Make the item so it can only be issued one time to each player. (Oh wait, that is LORE right? NOT EXACTLY, NO.)
OK.. enough ranting..
back to trying to get some other good armour.

back to trying to get some other good armour.The ore is a pretty common drop. You could just hand-in some ore, walk a couple yards and sell the ring for a few hundred plat, then walk back and hand-in more ore. There Is a timer in between when you can complete quests with the gnome to stop people from doing this.

Ok folks, what i have discovered is that i was doin the Bibol quest for the cloak and neck item and was able to do it with my WiZ in about ten minutes flat then the quest got nerfed(so to speak) and it was put on a one hour timer between the cloak quest and the neck item quest. Soooo, that may be what is happening here too but with a different timer on it. Keep checking back to see if it works.

yep as of today it's still busted
I give him the ore and it doesn't do anything - they appear back on my cursor. Grrr!
I tried getting fiery ore from the drakes near him, and when that didn't work, I went into Solusek and got fiery ore off the goblins. Nothing there either. Is there some other ore that he's looking for?

It is the fiery ore that he's looking for, but it seems that this quest it broke right now and needs to be fixed. I tried doing the same things that you did to no avail.

Yea.. 2k is way to much. most they should sell for is 400 plat and thats pushing it. It toke me maybe an two hours to do the two quests in lava storm..
Sold one of these in the bazaar for 2,099 plat. Way too much, and i was the cheapest. They will come down as the market is flooded with these. Far too easy to get. They will either become harder to get or become nerfed. Each of my alts and I have one along with the other 3 turn-ins. Sell them While you can.

Quest worked for the first few days now sems to be broken. Hope this gets fixed soon.
