Actually...the only other monk bracers like this are in ntov, and then theres only like 2, or come from ToV quests which are hard as ****, and the dragons in ntov are MUCH harder than gozzrem past iki/eashen, so most every monk in a guild killing gozzrem isn't going to have acess to them..now theres wristguard of thunder from tmax, which again a lot of guilds that kill gozzrem prolly arent able to kill..mushroom bracelet: 18ac 0wgt some stats comes from PoM so pretty much scratch that off the list ;p..and silver chitin wristbands are nice, but kinda heavy and no resists.. so about the only bracers comparable to this(on velious, dunno a lot about luclin drops) that a monk whos guild is killing gozzrem can get is bracer of benevolence and silver chitin wristband...but guess what we have to share the bene quest with other classes ;p So this IS a monk item(and also a caster item =0) ;p but it isnt like it matters, because any guildleader of a guild capable of killing gozz can look at the stats of an item and tell what classes need it and dont come to allakhzams for advice on loot distribution ;p
And also the only 2 people who are MEANT to get hit on raids..are the wars(tanks) and the monks(pullers) most everyone else can slap on their resist gear and not worry bout ac cuz unless they are fecking up at controlling aggro they shouldnt even be hit ;p and for a monk to be able to still have the resists of his VBD bracer but also gain a TON of ac is great for pulling..so again i conclude, monk item, hehe
And if your a caster and want a comparable bracer go to Umpral Plains every day and kill that bracelet guy at the zone in, drops bracers that have 12ac, six to all saves, and each one of 15 to a certain stat, drops 1 each time. So that way you could get a 12 ac, 15int or wis, 6 to saves bracelet which is even better for casters than this one.
Well, not necessarily. The 8 ac and 2 to all saves is a lot of the time better than 8 int or wis to a caster. By the time you're hitting up ToV or UP chances are (at least with c3) you'll have maxxed wis / int, so the extra 8 will make no difference at all. So when you compare an extra 8 ac and 2 sv all against nothing at all, it's pretty clear this is the better bracer.
AC is crap to casters, in the high end game even an extra 200ac isn't gonna do a damn thing for a caster who gets agro. And 2 to all saves is crap, and plus gozz and the named gantru(1 group mob) or doomshade are EASY mobs, I have seen guilds who have made like 4 HoT runs able to kill gozz if you want to get an idea of what type of equipment they will have so chances are they won't have horribly high int/wiz.
I was lucky enough to be awarded this wonderful bracer by our raidleader when our Alliance took down Telk and Gozz last night. Here are a couple of tips for tactics, so that this board actually has useful content. :)
Gozzrem uses an AE cold attack, and I was still getting some hits through my resist gear. It would be advisable to keep your healers and nukers just around the corner from Gozz and have the nukers run in between ae attacks. In order to facilitate this, have your MA announce on the shout channel when the dragon AEs. After the AE has been called, have the nukers run into melee range and nuke (I personally found fire and cold-based Lures to be quite effective on Gozz, consult your lead nuker for their advice). Nukes on Gozz (and incidentally Telk) worked best in melee range, so if the dragon rampages, casters should hang back or get what they deserve. Before engaging either dragon, make sure that any wanderers have been neutralised. Telk was guarded by an ancient firey wurm, but since we only had a couple of raiders KOS to CoV we just coth'd them in while the main body of the party strolled down. Gozz sadly, is slightly tougher because there are 2 wandering wurms and one drake who will assist, so best to drop those before starting. Our raid party (I don't recall the exact number, probably around 5-6 groups) took minimal casualties. You'll take major faction hits from Telk and Gozz (I went from amiable to apprehensive on Telk alone, iirc, so any of Lord Yeli's little minions may like to consider following Telk/Gozz up with a Vindi/Statue raid, or maybe Kael mansion to fix CoV/Yeli faction.
Hope this helps any aspiring guilds who want to try a bit of ToV hunting, but who haven't yet got some strats worked out. Be aware that this is not the be all and end all of 'how to kill dragons', and work on your own tactics, but if you're raiding ToV dragons, you probably have a few tricks of your own :)
Oh my God! While scrolling through the items dropped in ToV I just happened to notice that all the armor pieces had leet AC! So stfu that tanks need ac because there is no way that a good guild would give every multiclass item to tanks and melee toons, yet every item's message board are full of "look at the AC!!! definitely melee". There's plenty to go around folks, the ac is good yes but all casters get hit and nuked while playing EQ also.
if yer a lvl 60 warrior and only have 1100ac unbuffed, you need to work on it.. I am a 58paladin and i already have 1160ac unbuffed. i pass 1200ac with my own buffs. Most warriors i fight with get upwards of 1350ac with buffs.... also.. look at the stats on this bracer 7wis/int 8svall.. this is nothing more than a resist bracer at best.
As you say 20 ac is weak for a melee bracer? Well I'd guess by the stats then int casters and priests, problem is that like every dang other thing uber that its 7 int and 7 wis and ALL ALL meaning EVERY SINGLE DANG ONE OF THEM will want this.
Of course only one person can get it, so once again you have the 60 person guild killing an uber mob to reward one person out of many that this item would be great for. That gets so dang old.

I love listening to you 60th Lvl loosers ***** and whine about who should have an opinion.
I so value your opinions, and I think I'm going to start cruising these boards just to see what you think I should do with our free time, because obviously we can't figure it out for ourselves.
If you don't have anything constructive to say other than Yeah, I totally value your opinions.., then do us ALL a favor and keep your moronic yap shut, so you don't take up any more bandwidth than you already do. It's already bad enough that you play EQ at all. The last thing I want to hear is you whining all the time, too.

Honestly, if you like to get all these "Phat Lewtz" and you believe it's work such a huge portion of you life thats fine by me. (Sad, but fine.) But when those of us who will never have the time (or such as myself have vowed) to have a character post 45, want to comment on what they think, then who are you to tell them not to.

OK, moron...This is excellent for ANY wis or int caster. Yes, Im including SK's, Pallys and Rangers. Assuming of course, their current bracer doesnt give more AC. At the level you get this, Resists for high level encounters (especially dragons) is a REQUIREMENT. No, not buffed, Base. And before I hear otherwise, Im a 53 druid. Yes, it would be good for me. Would I whine if someone else rolled against me for it? Hell no, its damn well needed.
It's actually a little weak for a Melee class in the AC department, Drogen.
Good for a Monk (just saying). Excellent for a Shaman or Druid. Very Good for a Cleric or any Int caster. Good to fair for a Ranger. Not so good for a Paladin or ShadowKnight (except as Resist Gear.)
