Cave entrance to Bloodfields, north of entrance I came from. /loc 1151, -353, 105. Invis'd there.
Between dragon claws to the left as you look at the cave, and appears as a small brown bag.

I found mine above the statue at the entrance to the rat caves. I had to climb up to get it. There are several possible locations....see the post below dated 10/6/2005.

ok i just got back to eq and me trying to find the ore but has all change is the ore still in same spot?

They are outside of the cave as previously posted...still.

there are actually about 4 points around the cave enrance where i picked up a fluxing chunk of ore and it said "you cannot pick up a lore item you already posses" there on on tope of dragorn head at cave ent, one in his claws, on on the ground to the right as you come out, and one on top of the rock that sticks out of the hillside at you walk out. seems kinda stupid of SOE to put a bunch of the same item dropped all over the ground that are lore :P

It is found at the entrance to the rat caves in the dragon statue's claws. It is in between his claws on the left side of the entrance to the rat caves.

The fluxing Ore is no longer spawned "inside" the cave in RCoD. A patch moved the ore outside of the cave entrance. Looking at the cave there is an archway over the cave's entrance it is on the very top of the archway sitting in the center of the monster's crown. The LOC is +1155, -400, 171.

Confirmed. The fluxing ore sits in plain sight above the cave entry atop the dragon skull. The rats themselves are see-invis, but conned only dubious to me (I would not assume this is the same for everyone).
Mobs including dragorns stand nearby outside the cave entrance, and these are all KOS like most of the zone, but spawn sufficiently distant from the entrance that it is possible to drop invis atop the skull and not aggro any mobs.
I successfully looted the item and gated out.
Rats were dubious to me as well. I've never exp'd in the Gates of Discord expansion, so dubious must be by default.

Found the bag just to the left of the entrance to the caves. Got there with invis, no problem.

Ground spawn. Loc Pos 1039, Neg 403 on a mound that you will need levy probably to get on top. Also like 4 roamers and 2 statics mobs there. My Rogue was able to get it, was just curious what it was.
