Shadows of LuclinI picked up another powder called "Yun Shaman Powder", which strangely enough does not have a listing in Allakhazam. Is "Shaman Powder" and "Yun Shaman Powder" the same stuff? It's Lore, and NOT no drop.

I heard many of you say that the white powder drops in FV not TT. This is not true. Me and a groupie kept on having it dropped by the shaman in TT.

The white powder (no drop) is for the Druid charm plant spell quest.
I have only been to TT, where I looted WHITE powder off a Froglok shaman despite the previous posts.
What, then is the white powder (also a No Drop) used for if not the Canna II quest? The Canna I spell is a bit of a waste of time with KEI so readily available, so wonder whether the Canna II quest is even worth reading about....

Thakfully, KEI will soon no longer be available to ever noob with a few plat.
I found Cann I to be very useful, of course back in my day you had to walk uphill in the snow both ways...
No clue what the white powder is for, but it's certainly not used for the Cann II quest. I did the quest, the powder you need is BLACK.
This is indeed NOT No Drop. I just looted some for my Shaman twink. It is the black powder that drops in TT (not FV, white drops there) for the Cannibalize II spell quest.

I looted the black shaman powder from a froglog nok shaman last night in FV. This is the location I looted it from [Wed Apr 23 22:00:33 2003] Your Location is 2900.85, 1449.02, 170.90 - So this isn't the right black shaman powder for Canni 2 huh?

The powder for the quest, as many have mentioned, is called Shaman Powder and drops from the Yun Shaman. But it has the BLACK powder icon/image. Also, it is NOT no-drop, despite what it says on the description above.
There IS a no-drop Shaman Powder that drops from other shamen in the zone that has a WHITE powder icon/image. That powder is indeed no-drop. BUT, it is NOT the powder used in the quest.
I have not personally identified either version of the Shaman Powder to determine whether they identify as something different. However, in the quest description listed at the quest link above, the powder used in the quest is said to identify as Yun Powder.

I just left FV...got both white *and* black shaman powder several times in the NW corner (well, collected one of each...each was lore)
So, I know I need the black, but what *is* the white for?

It identifies as Powder of Yun.
The other stuff identifies as Powder of <name before "shaman" of the froglok that dropped it>

Black shammy powder is, as it says, No Drop.

I spent many hours in TT with a high level tracker. And many more hours soloing the froggies there hoping a yun would pass by. No yun shamans ever showed up. Finally got the powder off a level 61 Barb Shaman (who had it in the bank for a while). This quest was sadly dissapointing.

Odd...I was on my way to Seb last week and saw one south of the lake. I figured I'd kill him and get the powder, but ANOTHER Yun shaman jumped me so I cut and ran.
Actually, this is the wrong picture, too. The description above matches the Black droppable shaman powder, not this white NO DROP one.

Been looking everywhere for the Black Shammy Powder. Have not seen any Yun Shammies on Tunare server. The Black is what is needed for Cnnibalize 2 quest. It is one of the four compents.

Take a ranger or druid to TRACK to Trakanon's Teeth. Yun Shamen ar enot that common, but they ONLY appear in that zone. I got mine while we were there getting Sebilis key components, it made it a lot easier to get a whole group interested, I just added one more target tot he pull list.
Also, the black Yun Shaman powder is NOT "NO DROP"...so in theory you could send someone else ot get it for you.

Looted off a froglok in northern part of Firiona Vie. It is a no drop item and is colored black instead of the white shown here but has the same name.

This will not work (found out the Hard way) you need the "Yun" Froglok Shaman to complete the quest and if the person above is right (which i hope they are) the Yun shammy powder is a drop which someone else can get. So it might be sellable in the baz?

Must be the Black powder from Yun shamans in Trakanons Teeth. There are other frogs that drop shaman poweder in other zones but it will not work.
