I took this down(i was 54 wiz at the time..now 56) with a 65 mage a 65 shammy and a 51 mage there were also 3 others in group but they were sub 30 and didn't do anything). shammy slowed it but got summoned and quickly died :( thought we were going to get wiped but Mage pet never dropped below 75% we just nuked it and let the pet tank it. This mob is easly groupable best to use pets to tank.
Camped this last night, does still spawn, and has a timer of 29 minutes. The fabled doesnt always pop though. Over all it is very much worth the time and effort, although I didnt get my robe due to the server coming down on a very short notice = \ Will try again tonight!
I got it on the 7th PH after the server came back up.
yay!
I only had me, a 62 chanter (botted by me) and a 65 cleric with me. The chanter did nothing but tash and slow (partially, and only twice before he was killed) We won the fight, with me at 900/4337 hp (mob hits for 1200) tanking it, cleric is OOM, and mob is at 3%. I critted a nuke for 3100, killing it (barely, it had at least 40,000 hp). pet was dead whe mob enraged at 9%.
an incredible fight, a very hard mob, and a awsome reward.
wooo.
virtually mage/cleric took it down, with a small help from a partial slow from a 62 chanter.
Started camping this at 6am CST on Friday 26th. I was 5th in line. When i got there fabled was up. We took him down and then next 2 out of 4 were fabled as well.
So I'm thinking great - I've been here less than 2 hours and now I'm second in line. Well we then went through 10, yes 10, placeholders with no pop.
On the 11th (and 5 hours later) the Fabled popped.
We figured at this point we should have some better luck..... well the next 9 pops were PHs.
Finally, after 13 hours of camping (starting at 5th in line) - I got the drop. I know it dropped 2 more times that night but the spawn rate was seriously changed on this. Not sure if they were winding down the fabled mobs to not spawn anymore, but it was getting ridiculous.
Regardless, I'm now the proud new owner of one of these beauties.
i have been there now 3 times and i have been the only one there now i am not sure if its been bad raids and they keep getting wipe but i just want to know if its still up? today its 29,march.

I don't know what the deal is with all the worthless posts & lies, but here is the truth. The Fabled is 65 & hits for 1200. He is only partially slowable ,what ever that means.he has massive hp compairable to say... a krieger in BoT. These fabled seem to be for raids only. it's not a nice gift for everyone. It's just another hand out for the already uber. So if your guild won't help you or can't forget about it. P.S. one well rounded group of 65's should do fine just don't underestimate.
simple, because newbies might get confused they removed flowing thought from the game, there are no longer any FT items, theyre all mana regen now. Dunno if theyre still camped at the same point or not
I believe that the change from FT1~5 to Mana regen is a good thing. From what I understand about FT items. Two FT1 items would not stack. But two +2 mana regen items will. If I am wrong then please correct me. But I don't think anyone will. I am not happy about the nerfs but this is one change that SOE got right.
With all FT/Mana Regen items it ALL stacked....no matter what it was......to be the equivilent of FT15/Mana Regen 15......you could have 15 FT1/Mana Regen 1.......or what ever combination you liked....
Actually, that's not how I understand it to be. Flowing Thought is an effect. Period. If you gave a Flowing Thought III item to a level 1 character, they'd get 3 extra mana per turn, no matter how high the recommended level was. However, change the effect to Mana Regeneration +3 and you can change the recommended number to better reflect the actual benefit to the lower level.
It may not make much sense, but it is an important difference.
Here is a silly little question. The effect on the actual item says Improved Damage 4, and Mana Regen 1. The entry above implies that that is the same as FT1. If thats the case, why doesn't the robe just say it has ID4 and FT1? I guess I am being paranoid, but I'd hate to get this, put a FT augment on it and find that since Mana Regen 1 and FT 1 are not exactly the same thing, one cancels the other and I am still only gaining 1 mana per tick from the robe. Any thoughts?

Personally I am glad that these items got nerfed. Talk about rude? What about the level 20s that were being completely rude while we were camping this on Torv server? Demanding a spot on the list before they even get there, demanding ports from PoK, demanding sup camo and a guide to get there because they've never even been to Infected Paw, THEN asking for the list after every kill, and not even being a help since the mobs are conning DB to me at level 47. Damn wizzies not even being able to land a spell...
Then we have our 65 warrior training the entire zone and the lowbies running over there and trying to grab the loot before anyone else, and dying to the constant gnolls inc....good times, that. Hey, rampage can only do so much hehe. Plus if you die to a SP gnoll in 2 hits, no cleric in the world is fast enough to save your bacon.
The recommended level nerf doesn't bother me, it was clear that it should have been there at the beginning, and anyone who didn't see it coming...anyways. The Fabled Ishva now con's even to a level 65, instead of green, though he hasn't changed his stats, he is still as tough as nails. What no one has mentioned about the nerf's is his new spawn rate. Where pre-patch he spawned approximately 75% of the time, now the regular old Ishva Mal will sometimes spawn in his place. As #5 in the list after the patch I figured it would be a quick little farm to grab one before I went off to play elsewhere. Not so, 6 hours later and I was #3 in the list before I realized at that rate I was going to spend an entire day camping this fool, and gave up. Just a little warning, be prepared for a LONG camp now if you want this robe.
yet another item I spent a LONG time camping. Got it for my 17 mage. Had loads of fun for bout 2 hours after getting it before heading to SolB for the bracer.... N E R F E D. Both bracer and robe with recomended level of 50, *sigh* ya know just once wish they'd let people have some fun playing this damned game. Don't we pay enough to have some fun every now an' then??? ....Guess not.
they shouldn't have let your 17 mage in line for this, imo. There are tons of high level players who wait over 20 hours in this line, a 17 couldn't even land a spell to contribute. Be happy your mage has this at all for his older days rather than complain he won't get full stats out of it at 17, you obviously don't play it much anyway.
I agree. I didn't got for this item, but it's stats are about as good as Immortal's Bloodied Robe (possibly the best non-raid robe in the game). There's no way a level 17 character should walk around with this and get full use of it. In fact, i'll go so far as to say that they shouldn't let anyone under the mid 40's equip it.
Should have seen that one coming. Thats why I only got Fabled items for my mains and didnt waste time twinking out with any fabled. I DID however take some time to grab the skellie items for my melee alts since I was pretty sure with varied stats like those there would be no nerf in the near future. Heh once they see how many people have them they might tho.
Anyohow you have a level 65, whats the difference if they nerfed it or not?
Play on mithaniel marr...I've tried camping this bad boy for a combine ~15 hours...every time i get to 3rd or 4th in the list there's not enough people left to kill him.
Aaelaa a Necro on Terris thule Started her Robe at 1:30am she was number 7 when she got there. The fabled Mob did spawn pretty much everytime so it went Kind of fast. He did hit hard but If the Pet class's could sick their pets ON him then start Doting the heck and DD the hell out of him, and stunning him, he would die pretty fast. Their were a couple of deaths at first but after the people got their robes Ironicaly enough The deaths stoped. At around 6:45am aaelaa finnally got her robe. Its a very nice robe for the FT and the ID 4 is very nice.
Why don't you just go to Splitpaw and get yourself on the list? I went there alone and the shear number of people there waiting in line are always there to help kill the thing when it spawns. You don't need a raid force and honestly, they won't want to wait the several hour long camp with you for you to get to the head of the line. 8 hours of waiting in line and helping kill the thing when it spawned for everyone before me yielded me a nice new robe. :)

There is always one more imbecile than you planned for.
the only fabled FT item, and clerics are left out in the cold on it. i sure wish they'd made it wearable by all casters... i mean i know it's a robe and all, but hey... it wouldn't hurt to let us slip into something a lil more comfortable than plate every once in a while! oh well...
i must say, this has got to be one of the longest camps ive ever been on.
i got to the room at around 11am PST... got put on the list, and started going to town. i sat at the camp a couple hours with my druid main, buffing, nuking, healing, etc etc. at first we had a pally tanking (chain stun rocks.. less healing on my part)... i got wacked a couple times for 1300+(ouch), but no deaths. well my wife was on the list as well for her mage, and i ended up having to go back to work. so she 2 boxed me. i was at the camp a good 3 hours before i had to go, but it happens. so my wife 2 boxes me, does a great job (i think shes a better druid than i am). i get back from work a few hours later, and holy crap, im only #4 on the list :(
around the time i got to #1, we had nothing but a ranger and a rogue tank.. and a whole lot of pets. they did a great job, rogue would assasinate, then we would send pets in and own the mob to nothing.
needless to say, agter 11+ hours of camping him, i have a very happy lvl 19 mage (well, 22 now). good luck to all that is going for one. now to get the fabled golden efreeti boots :)
Mine took a bit too, however not nearly that long. I was number 4 to get mine (no-one else really there. The first four got thiers fast, 2 poped in a row, 1 PH, 2 more popped! I was thinking Great! 1 ph to go, and bamn I'll have mine! "5" PH's later (28 min spawn) I finally got it. On a fun note though we had a ranger for a bit who got a kill shot on Fabled and that slapped it down to 50%hp that was pretty damn cool. Gives you an Idea of the HP tottal too =) Good luck on your drops, and may your PH's be few!
Can't you guys actually post any "useful" information? Instead of "i used 2 boxes, we used 4" and so on? Define a kill shot damage for those of us who don't know the ranger class....
#REDACTED,
Posted:Mar 21 2004 at 2:57 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) well, if you must know, we had 4 PoTime pallys chain stunning, and 3 PoTime tanks to take this monster of a mob down, along with a 5 cleric heal rot with 6 druids patch healing non stop. he was hitting for 10,000 +, casts a monster 500% snare and 5khp zone wide nuke.
Showed up at around 10:00 PM EST and got myself into the raid and onto the list to loot the fabled robe with my 55 wizard. At the time there were maybe 8 people ahead of me in line. A 65 rogue was our tank and we had no healer (other than multiple reverse lifetap healing necros hehe). Suppossedly there had been a painful run of 5 or 6 PH's right before i got there (can imagine that 3 and a half hours of getting no drops and watching the list get bigger and bigger would start to get old) but from the time i got there the Fabled spawned 6 times in a row before the next PH. Got to the point that i was second in line with a 65 wizard after me and an afk (asleep) mage ahead of me with a 57 shaman 53 necro team (also afk asleep) after the wizard when everyone else in the raid decided they had had enoughand left. Needless to say the 65 wizard and I were a bit unhappy about trying to duo an unrootable/unsnareable mob that hit for 1k+. Luckily enough someone 5boxing (yes i said 5 boxing -- 5 computers, 5 accounts, 1 person, CRAZY AS A LOON) got there and decided to allow us to loot the first two robes that dropped even though there was no way we could have help the camp ourselves. So I got my wizard a robe and the 65 wizard got her robe. We both decided to stick around and help (totally unnecessary) the 5 boxer get his 3 robes for alts and such. Over the 2 hours that took there were a few more additions to the list and we were set up to restart the raid camp of the fabled ishva after the 5 boxer left. Logged my 54 Cleric on and ran him to be the healer for the camp as well as moving my wife's 49 chanter to the area and camping her out (i suck at 2 boxing). Ended up with 6 or 7 assorted and various Int casters and my cleric healing the 56 mage air pet tank. Couple of hours passed and I got my wife's enchanter her robe (2nd drop for me). Had nothing bet pet tanks for a looong time -- ranging from 56 mage air pet to 65 mage air pet. Only problems we unded up with were when the Fabled Ishva would spawn dark blue to my 54 cleric -- those were the only ones that we noticed casting the HT / lifetap for a reported 1500 damage. Even 65 air pet goes down before a 54 cleric can get a heal off when it is doubled for 1300+ a hit and nuked for 1500 (4200ish damage instantly and splat /shivers). Ended up bringing my Wife's 40 mage to the camp between spawns while still providing support with my cleric. Off and on had a 65 warrior, 65 rogue, and assorted mage pets all tank for the raid. only had one death when the fabled (again dark blue to 54) doubled on the rogue tanking for two 1333 hits then lifetapped him for 1500 all in one round (ouch -- splat went the rogue) and we ended up chain summoning mage pets because they were getting killed faster than i could heal them. At around midnight EST finally got the robe drop for my wife's Mage and had to cut and run because I was having trouble focusing my eyes enough to watch the screen.
Total experience at this camp -- 26-27 hours straight -- 52-53 spawns -- around 30 Fabled Ishva Mals and 20 PH's -- 12-15 cups of coffee -- 200-300 trips to the bathroom(caused by the coffee) -- 3 robes looted by my or my wife's characters (no 2 were on the list at the same time and infact had at least 2 or 3 drops between looting one and getting another on the list) -- tons of friends made and memories created -- one 52 mage put on my ignore list.
This guy was pretty damned easy if you ask me. Only had 1 death in beginning (myself) cuz only had rogue and pets tanking. Otherwise he's easy. YES rogues can assassinate him but won't always kill him. I had one assassinate for 64k dmg which obviously killed him but more often than not I got the 32k assassinate which still plays the msg drops him about 50% pisses him off to no end but doesnt immediately kill him. Isnt too bad of an aggro in all respects. Warrior had no prob getting him off. Spawns dont seem so bad. We had 4 PHs in a row and now 4 Fableds in a row. Hits for 1333 max mostly casts which we used to our advantage and used stuns and he didnt do much throughout the battle. Got an assassinate off on almost every kill except the first.
