Okay, so here I am with my level 61 pally, ready to buy, and i see the recommended level on the bugger... With a rec. level of 65, will I still receive the effect at my level, or no effect at all?
The rec. level on the aug will 'transfer' to what ever you attach it too, thus giving the item itself the same rec. level
The useable armor slot will also "transfer" from the augment. So if for example you put a arm slot only augment on an item that fits both arm and wrist, the resulting item will be arm slot only.

I have a slimed ykeshan troll spaulders with regeneration 3 (worn), recomended lv of 58. At 36 i get the full regeneration just the other stats are lower. Not sure how it would work with an augmentation.

All worn effects of the Aura series stack with each other. If you have two Aura of Bravery and two Aura of Battle items, you will recive the full effect (otherwise melee/hybrid elemental armour sets would be rather senseless). These effects also stack with all other worn atk and regen effects - Vengeance, Spiritual Fury, etc. Furthmore, an item with the same effect both as part of the item and from an Augmentation will recieve both effects.
However there is a cap of 250 worn ATK from all effects. There is also a worn regeneration cap, which I believe is 35/tick.

There is a stack limit is 3 items with the same effect. So any Aura of Battle item beyond 3 will not be beneficial. For most people that luckily isn't anything to worry about. ;)
