Well being a lvl 65 monk with 101 aa and caps at 300 atm, I am hitting with crits in upper 500's (w/o disc.). I won on a roll yesterday in Guk ldon. Works very well with mobs that are ds'ed. With bard haste and spell haste it wacks pretty fast considering the damage it does. I like it. I'll have to use it a bit more to see how it compares to my Staff of Flowing Water. The Graphics for a monk are actually pretty cool. It looks like a very "monkly" crooked staff, with "the lessons" to be learned on the end. Monks being the quiet type they appear to rely on "pounding it into your head" type of "lessons". lol... All in all it is a very nice weapon and plat for plat it packs a WACK... Mek

Looks like a music stand with book on it. Or, if the Witness of Hate is a religious fellow, it is a metal lectern with the sacred text on it from which he does his witnessing. I have no idea what keeps the book on it when we're swinging it around.

I have maxed with this weapon for 694 PoD's. It nice and usually does 300x3 combo's. (65 monk)

Well I read through all these listings and about gag myself, I understand alot of you are really 13 and below so the mentality is right with the age, but if you were facing some major baddy that can whoop up on you. Do you think he would stop and say nice sword you got there, it matches your eyes, and start a dossier on your looks, or is he gonna beat on you like orphan annie? End state is this: Looks are nice, but if the weapon does what you want it to do, then who gives a flying f*** what it looks like. Personally, I have one on my pally and he hits average 250-280s at lvl 55. I'm not scoffing at that dmg, his disc crit is around 500 cripple at near 800. And we all know pallies are the DPS machines like other classes. All in all I belive it's a sweet weapon, and if ppl want to sell it for cheap because of drop rate and looks, I say more power.

and THAT is exactly why looks matter. Like When new weapons came out, they were FAR from uber, but I remember a spear that was very similar to the beetlestinger spear, technically beetlestinger was better with a proc and stats, but just because the weapopn looked cool - or was new it was like 10x more.
This weapon would look sweet if it was a partical effect weapon after that i think i might just buy one for a 15 monl just for the look

This staff seriously needs a better graphic. I have been using /feedback to try to get SOE to change the graphic on this puppy and make it look as bad as it should be. If you agree that its current graphic sucks please use /feedback and maybe SOE will change it!

I have a Shadowknight and was wondering what the requirements are to get the bonus dmg on this thing.
Damage bonus is based purely upon 3 things.
1) The delay of the weapon
2) Your level
3) Your class
Non-melee classes (read: priests and casters) get no dmg bonuses on weapons. The higher the delay on a weapon, the higher the bonus.
Lucy.fnord.net has a table showing dmg bonuses per level/delay.

I bought this thing on Bristlebane server in bazaar for 3,500pp. At lvl 58 RNG, I think it did like 230 max damage (estimation). Now at lvl 61, my max damage with 260 str and 260 dex is 308; and the other day I got a double attack 308, 308 in Plane of valor and my group was like "Jeez Blaak, what weap you got"? I love when other say that! ;)

This is 47DMG 45 Delay, priced on drinal for 2-5k... I started playing all my toons almsot 3years ago. I had a 12 31 wep for nearly 8 months ... You have got to be the most fricked up moron in NON-END game apparel I have ever seen post. A 47/45 2hb, 2hs 2hanything is frickin uber, regardless of if it's VT or common rot items, I will buy one for every toon I have .. having a 141 2hb i get this for 190-347 max so far, w 238 str as a ranger. Book at end or no book, I can't imagine a better ratio wep for under 5k gimp. Can you...wait .......r u a SHD? if so then your exempt u get created w a 26 20 weapon pratically. But for the rest of us dual wield able classes this 2hander rocks.....Peace

I got myself one of these almost 2 weeks ago now and couldn't be happier w/ the damage output, however what bothers me the most is that it has a type 1 augment slot, this thing doesn't need more stats it needs a proc added to it. The SoFW (prolly the best tradeable 2hb for a monk) has a type 4, even the Tstaff (which already has a proc) has a type 4 slot. I've been feedbacking everyday to change this one to a type 4. Please join the effort and feedback to change this to a type 4. Thanks
I have done 3 Lguk adventures or so and have killed 4 named got 2 of these some LAME boots and an avg leather tunic. Not sure if I am lucky or what but these seem kinda common

On bristlebane it would probably be 20-30k for being new, then drop to the 10-20k range...eventually selling for 10k or so, mainly because of the classes that can use it. SKs and pallys can get better 2 handers for those prices (Disease Imbued Greatstaff, Heavy Windriders Lance) but the low weight and monk tag is gonna drive up the price, since they do such insane damage with 2 handers after 59.

bought one yesterday for 2k on bristlebane, they are really cheap. my 48 monk got a 499 non crit top hit with it. normal hits are between 120 and 200. this thing is great

I don't buy it. my top non crit is like 330 with all the buffs i can get with a max crit of 536. 499 non crit? no. but weapons is awesome. sure would be nice to change graphic but with the damage i do with this, i could care less if they do or don't.

Just snagged one tonight on Cazic for 1800. Don't know how the drop rate is, perhaps this weapon will be LDoN's answer to the Centi Warspear and Weighty Polearm, otherwise excellent weapons undermined by the fact that they drop like candy and flood the market. But it was an upgrade for my SK, so oh well...

Not likely? Are you mentally challenged? Let me restate what he said above. The ratio on this is very good, close to that of Flowing Water, add to that a little more for the longer delay too. The weight is great for monks too. Finally, the cost of this staff? 6-15k depending on server. Cost of the flowing water? 60-80k

Staff of Flowing Water is great.
But, not all monks have 60K to 80K burning a hole in thier pocket.
This is still a darn fine monk weapon.

Not sure, problem is that the stats don't help a monk much. Dex is great, but monks go for STA, STR, AGI before Dex.

You have a good point there, I can't carry much coin at all, or I get whopped on weight, and nobody seems to understand the idea of ML. I was kicked out of a group, for ML'ing the others thought I was takin it all for myself. But, I digress. I would not pay 40k for a few less delay/more dmg.

If you are a monk that happens to wear a robe, then dont make the mistake of walking around PoK with this weapon on, youll get asked for KEI. I guess people think that chanters can get glowing fists these days or something lol. Seriously tho, the graphic on this is one of those book staffs and it looks terrible : /

I'm a level 55 warrior and my 2HB is really bad, but if i had this, believe you me, my 2HB would be up to 200 within a month.
