Took this SoB down with my 50 pally, says not undead?!? tuff were neck and neck and had to use Lay Of Hands. Had to root as is a runner and tries to gate
Identifies as: Scroll of the Beguiler.

I'm probably a raving lunatic, but if there is a Scroll of the Beguiler, and a Scroll of the Conjurer, both no drop, I'm leaning toward them being part of the epic 2.0 for the chanters and the mages.
Or its just a random drop to confuse us... either way =)

Just an fyi, these items dropped before OoW was released. Although they may be part of the epic 2.0, their original purpose (if the have one or ever did have one) is still unknown.

This is no-drop even on FV, and that leads me to believe it has something to do with some epic quest; but since all the quests are figured out, that doesn't make much sence either. *shrugs* It's beyond me.

This is no longer no-drop on the Firiona Vie server. Still have no idea what it's for though.

Still nothing exists about this scroll. Found the Beguiler sitting at the castle doorway. Was a pretty tough fight for Puppy and I. But We won it lost, lame drop - unknown scroll, obvious quest item, just wish it was posted. 56 Shaman - TT.
Just looted a Scroll of the Invoker in Chardok, dont find ANY info on that, may be related as well ?
There is also a Scroll of the Conjurer, related perhaps?
Drops in the Hole. Maybe has something to do with that new quest involving the Hole, just guessing here.

Not that I think this lore will help you much in finding out it's use..

Then why not identify it yourself? get it on your cursor, and have someone cast identify on YOU, if you don't have the spell. Or buy the silvery mask with clicky identify.
tried this guy at 55 with a 40 necro, tash,dispells,slow,cripple, and dd's went through to full as did necro dots//snares, monster hp even after debuffed, about 2 mins into the fight with both pets at 40% we started chain nuking thinking it hp about the same hp as any other mob, it gated at 15%(was not rooted)
and was healed to 45% and i got the meesage that all debuffs had worn off, which was odd because we cleared to floor before pulling, gated shortly after that.

Spectral Beguiler is not level 42.. conned yellow to my 48 shaman while duoing at Temple so i'm guessing lvl 50. And an enchanter. With a TON of hp. he for some reason was the longest fight out of all the mini named i have gone up against. /shrug.
Anyway, anyone know what the scroll is for? Sounds enchanterish to me. :)

At 62 he conned dark blue, and was much tougher than the other new named around. I got worried when I pulled and noticed how much stronger he was, and then realized he was not so tough. Luckily he did not charm me or my pet. Couple days later I was here as my 44 warrior and got charmed right away. :)
It's one of the longest fights because this mob INTELLIGENTLY buffs itself with Rune and Shield buffs - being a monk I was laying there FD waiting for HPs to get back up to fight this mob when I noticed the casting messages it was emitting... needless to say I changed my usual solo tactic and instead of just using Dragon Punch to interrupt it's spells I debuffed him first, shortened the fight alot.
