Got this the other night and i have the kizrak guants and a COF and this sword is as good as my windblade on sol ro the go for 2k to 1k for some reason

I put this on my lowbie ranger and I really like it. He's only 30, but the stats are still very nice for that level of play. He's gettin regular hits for about 80 with comparitivly low stamina loss. Yes there are better out there, but who cares, my ranger has a sword that is still reletivly uncommon, so it gives him character. And after all, isn't that what the game is really all about?
This looks like a nice SK/Pally weapon, tanks who don't need fast hits for aggro. Or non tanking warriors. Wouldn't rangers get better DPS from straight arrows though? Could still do impressive damage.
in the high end game, 2H weaps are better dps then arrows. it's sad, but true for the rangers

this weapon would not be better dps then arrows, between discs,/haste/bow/an aa's Arrow dps is better.

Next time your on a raid try pulling out your bow on a walled mob and tell me what kind of DPS you have. In small groups or perma-rooted mobs (with good line of sight) the bow is perfered.

Get EQ/AM3 then tell me you can get more damage with a 2hs. Yes if the mob is walled, or is surrounded then you have to use hand weapons. But with a little creativity you will be able to use your bow more often then not.
I believe when he meant endgame, he meant higher end raid encounters where the rangers are geared or gearing up for Time. I've seen the parse'd data and the numbers show that with a good two-hander a ranger can put out just as much, if not usually more damage than with a bow given the right AA's. There is more to life than just EQ/AM3, rangers get some pretty nice melee AA's as well with PoP.
This is not even touching on the fact that you'll probably not even connect with half your arrows unless you have some kind of vertical leverage during a crowded raid. Then again, this all depends on the size of both your force, and of the mob.
Oh, if you are unfortunate enough to live on a PVP server, those stray arrows tend to annoy your fellow guildies.

With EQ3/AM and Bow of the Warmaster I do about 190 to 220 dps (non-trueshot).
With Ornate Greatblade from Doomfire off Gen Reparm I do about 120dps.
DPS Averages clocked with EQCompanion and my normal buffed attack rating of roughly 1750.
I only have level 1 of the 2hs AA skill but still I see no way the 2hs could rate above archery on a non-rooted/non-walled mob your talking about an almost 2-fold dps increase. I get about 440dps with trueshot on the bow, no way your getting that with a 2hs.

In elemental planes, if a mob turns around and you eat a riposte, hitting with 2*1hs you're going to get downed REALLY fast (trash quads for 800, nameds quad for up to 3k5), that's why warriors try to drop their 1h EB weapons as soon as possible when they enter EPs (they can't tank at all dual wielding)

If you’re worried about riposte but still need to do some serous DMG this sword is the ticket, unless of course it is a 2hs. If that’s the case then it is a good weapon on par with Tantor’s tusk.
Smells like a mis-marked 2hd slash. Thought i seen it on Lucy's as such.
Would make a crazy one hander though.

OMFG!!!! Can you say, BEAT DOWN! Great haste buff on you, and you will gain Agro to no end.
Great Low-Taunt primary for a ranger who absolutely doesn't want aggro... Also a big hitter for any melee who isnt tanking...
Big Delay for a 1hs primary melee only. Nice stats and dmg though.
