Ruins of KunarkTHough this is not a great item for most plate classes, it does have a few advantages for the Bard class, the str is nice for when lugging the ******* of equipment around, and for when a bard does melee, the sta is not much, but it gives a Bard a few extra hp, which they are sorely lacking among the plate classes, it has bonus hp making it even more useful, and the resists are a nice bonus, as casters like to Nuke the bard first, since he is casting at melee range. At higher levels bards get their resists as high as possible to avoid the nukes and dots of enemy casters. A smart bard positions him self so that that he is not in line for threat ripostes, and hence only gets the occasional swat from the mob he is assisting on.

If this puppy had more STA I think the Plate Classes would give it a second look, but with only 2 it isn't nearly as useful for them. But for the other equippable races it's lookin' pretty nice(a little heavy for a monk though isn't it?)
Think more than likely that a monk/beast around this level would be more inclined to go and get a Grobb Hide Cowl, since they have pretty nice stats with 10dex included. This isn't too bad an item though

I think the reason this has such low ac is because of all the classes that can use it only 2 are plate so ac probably wasnt the main focus here but 8str and 30hp is nice you can always use extra hp other stats are ok but still its a good helm if you get a hold of it imo

for us plate waering class depending on whether mana or ac or such is an issue this helm SUCKS for us.
Most are gonna either be wearing a dented kunzar helm which goe for around 2-3k on 7th
ir a radulakan helm which are 6-8k on 7th.
this thing lacks the ac, an as far as i can see about the stuff coming from chardok b,here,an droga helm wise they all have weak weak weak ac....
