The ashes' codes have been changed.
I have personally verified (through buying a fake set) that the FAKE code starts with 007C07.
To check which one you are looking at, type in ;t<ashes link> without the < >. This will return a string of numbers. If they start with 007C07 they are the fake ashes.

I was in the bazaar this morning and saw some ashes for sale. I already had the Grolden ashes in my inventory so I knew I couldnt buy them again. Anyways, I go up to the trader and click the buy button. Upon opening my inventory, what do I see? A stack of TWO ashes. So I had them identified just in case. BOTH are Grolden ashes! Look out! They have removed the Lore tag!

have been looking for these ashes for my pally for about a month now, got stung first time and bought wrong ashes but as they are lore it saved me from buying the wrong ones again...or so i thought as of this post the wrong ashes are no longer lore and i have just wasted 3k buying what i thought were the right ones so unless the trader will let you identify them before you buy my advice is dont buy them... and if anyone on Antonius Bayle has the right ashes for sale please send a tell to shaddowe or kromnius, cheers :)
Yeah, I noticed the same thing a couple nites ago and posted on it under the quest link. However, the VZ ones are still lore, which makes it somewhat easier to distinguish the two and buy the correct ones.
How do I make him spawn I have killed all the vampires in the castle multiple times cant see him on the balcony

I have killed Heratius Grolden twice and Valdanov Zevfeer did not spawn.

For everyone to know both Heratius Grolden and Valdanov Zevfeer drop Vampire Volatilis Ashes only Valdanov Zevfeer drops the Ashes u need for the Quest ..Just to let u know there r ppl selling the ash off Heratius n the baz passing it off as the right ashes and u cannot ID it n trader so if u goto buy it beweare..
I just killeld both of them tonight. Valdanov's ashes are stackable, while Heratius' are not. They are both lore, so it makes no sense, but at least you can tell them apart.

It is the final piece needed for the Loyalist Shield of Honor quest. However both Heratio and Valdanov, who is spawned by killing Heratio, drop Ashes with the same name.. The ones dropped by Heratio are useless, only the ashes dropped by Valdanov can be used to complete the quest. They will Identify as to who they belong to.
Special Note. Valdanov is a pain to kill. He can only be meleed with Bane Weapons Vampyre.

I looted these about 2 weeks ago and don't have a clue as to what they are for. Anyone got any info that they could share would be nice.
I want to say it's part of a Katta quest to go out and kill some named vampyres. But I think those targets have all been identified.
