Now, don't get me wrong...this wep is AWSOME...but there IS better...I know it's hard to believe...but its true, now, ill bet everyone wants to know...so lets stop wasting time...it is the Hopebringer! Ofcourse, a wep like that is pally only =(
I know, it looks like this wep has a better ratio, but it doesnt, it's very close, but still not better. oh, and take a look at the proc on that wep, 1 damage to the mob...and 178 point heal...for your entire group. That doesnt sound too great, but, if your in elemental planes, then chances are you'll have maxed DEX. So, this'll be procing pretty dang often.
Your wrong in two ways, first, paladins do much more damage with 2handers do to 2handed aa bonus, and second, there is no reason whatsoever you can't have both. I for one always carry a 2hander AND a 1hander, for dps, i go with 2hander, but when i want to tank, i switch out 1hander.
Couple of notes. Hopebringer may be a slightly better ratio, and the +5% strikethrough will help it too, but in the world of two hand weapons higher delay is better. And the 25 delay on the hopebringer hurts it's overall DPS compared to this weapon. Higher Delay equals higher damage bonus for those who don't know what I am talking about.
Also this weapon is PoEB drop and the Hopebringer is a Time drop.
I'm too lazy to edit, So i'll just correct myself w/ a post...I said that 178pt. heal could actually help in elemental planes...ummm...I'm not sure what i was smokin that night, but I wewas wrong, if your MT has 11K HPs, then 178 pts. wont help much...or rather, it won't help at all.
maybe now u're on dope, i dunno. but depending on the mob u fight 178 is quite good. and it's group wide. add to the heal improved healing power due to aa's like healing adept and healing gift and it comes out as a great proc.
if u tank a mob that hits for 1k+ and need chain patch heals then the 178 heal won't make a big difference, but usually u xp on mobs that hit for a bit less (or if u do ldon adventures) and go with CH. in that cases a small heal like the one on hopebringer is quite nice.
This weapon is tits either way you look at it, if it was a spoon or even a spork i would use the damn thing. who cares what it looks like as long as it gets the job done
I got this the other night, and well it just flat out fuggin rocks. I'm a 65 sk on vazaelle in the guild Triality, it drops from the avatar of earth. We got 2 to drop on one kill and another guildie got one as well. I will post a pic when i can, the graphic is actually quite sad, but of course you must equip it, its insane!! :)
Oh and don't overlook the neg 150 to disease check, that is what makes this so great. The dd sticks on most any mob that the sk spears get resisted on.

Man... I thought that the 35 35 2hs I got from PoP was good for the stats since it has 25 AC on it, but 50 AC?!? That's insane. And, that's really really good. And the health is great, too.
I just wish they would fix dual wield and make shields better for those who can't. Sheilds and riposte damage both suck.
I completely do not understand the comment. What keeps you from getting the 100 or more AAs typically required for an uberguild, and then joining one?
And if they made this type of stuff drop off orc pawns in EC, or birds in PoTorment even, what reward would be left for those who ARE in uber guilds? What would happen is, you'd have to compete with the uberguilds for those easier spawns.
Funny part is, Every expansion, they give the casual player gear that is equivalent to the uberguild stuff from an expansion or two earlier, and add some new top end contant for the uberguilders. So, they probably WILL give stuff like this to the casual player, in about 6 months to a year, with the next expansion or two.
Remember, there was a point in time when Thurgadin quest gear was considered "uber", and now there are several smithed/tailored armors that are as good or better than thurg armor, and not that expensive ot purchase. Plus, there is armor purchasable with LDoN points, that is as good as the elemental planes smithed armor, which puts it up there with Vindi BP and other "once uber" stuff.
In fact, go back far enough, and a full set of crafted and dual lammies was considered top end.
HOLY $#!+! this is the best ratio i have ever seen on a weapon and look at all the stats! 200HPs!!! 65 warrior- xev 65 druid- xev 65 enchanter- Vazaelle 59 cleric- Xev
