how people think you can go to a location and get better forage rates. Its the same werever you go it rng. better ur the skill the easier it is but you can get lucky with low level forage its called rng for a reason ppl.
Foraging by the opening of the path to the Twilight Sea zone line and nothing. Go to (near) this quoted /loc and on the second forage at 89 skill I get the cactus. Try here first.
I was near zoneline to Twighlight Sea, working on my alcohol tolerance while foraging getting a bunch of rockweed bulbs and useless feathers, then moved a little to /loc -949.38, -1772.86, -98.14 and got 3 Red Sands Cactus in a row, then more rockweeds
I saw that someone gave a lcoation. Does Location affect the forage rate or do you just need ot be in zone?
You only need to be in the zone. Location in the zone does not affect foraging. People who think it does are basing it on a small number of forages, or even a single forage, which is just foolish; you can't judge a trend based on a low sample rate.
Sometimes loc does seem to factor in on the chance of forage. When I've been to certain zones for different items, I have had better luck in certain spots than others. It is still pretty random. I took a ranger with 180 forage and druid with 200 forage. Took abot a half hour to get this item. I moved from the twilight zone in to the loc below, and then after no luck, moved again to the west side of the zone, just south of the deep zone in, loc was neg 255, pos 1545. After about the 3rd try, I got it.
You have GOT to be kidding me. It took nearly an hour before I could get ONE of these. After that I tried foraging for over THREE hours for a second one. In frustration I ended up buying one off another player.
