Since they've added recommended levels to almost all the better LoY equipment, I was wondering if this has a recommended level now, and if so, what it is.
You would be hard pressed to kill inny with a single group of 58 - 65. A fully 65, fully elemental (or better) group should be able to whip him np, but at that point it's not likely he'd be dropping anything you want as all of his loot is nodrop.
Yeah right, 58-65 sure, you can say the same thing about infected paw, highkeep and any other place. Mind you that these LoY-zones were introduced for lvl 30-60. For the lvls you are describing the Planes are the place to be.
But the ring is very nice, should make an effort for it with some guildies.

Nothing that required a raid force? I guess that depends on your definition of a raid force. For guilds that raid with 3-4 groups, Laggald Broodmother would require a raid force. ;)
You are incorrect sir. I have soloed the Broodmother and am a 63 Druid. I know what your thinking, charmed a pig and tanked her with the pig, no.
First and foremost, it is almost imperative that you have at least Exodus, and if you have innate camo, so much the better. Go outside and sow yourself, you can't do it inside. Now go to where the Luggald Ambassador spawns, he's the PH for Broodmother. As you go into this room go to rear of the room on the left side and kill the one luggald there. Take care with your movement as you don't want to aggro any of the others. Now once he is dead go ahead and pull the Ambassador with snare and then root rot him.
Ok now that the ambassador is dead Broodmother will spawn and wander around the luggald area, be advised she is not targetable at this time. Make sure you are camoed as soon as possible and just hang back out of the way. She stops here and there summoning approximately 10-12 Luggalds, this whole thing takes around 10 minutes or so.
When she is done walking around, she will respawn and you will see zone spam saying that she senses intruders. Now she is targetable so go ahead and pull using proximity aggro. Pop your camo and, as she has a very large aggro radius, she will charge you. Now hit innate camo and run for the zone. Broodmother runs faster than the mobs she summoned so when you zone she will stop and not have all those pesky mobs with her. Broodmother and her friends don't roam back, so you just zone back in and find her, then snare her, re-camo if you can can before aggro and walk her to the steps outside shrine area. If you get aggro from mobs just re-zone and repeat til you get broodmother close to Torjirin Mine zone.
Now just root and dot till she's dead. She hits like a truck and hit's pretty fast, so when she breaks root occasionaly, Move. She has a fair amount of HP and I suggest resnaring every 10 minutes. Took right around 20 minutes for her to fall. She never resisted a thing I cast but did break root a few times, which is the norm in this zone with all the mobs.
I was after the ring but alas she dropped a no-drop shroud which i gave to a bewildered chanter that had just zoned in.
Tactics will always win over brute force, be safe and have fun.
OK now I have some problems with this. (Now hit innate camo and run for the zone. Broodmother runs faster than the mobs she summoned so when you zone she will stop and not have all those pesky mobs with her.) When did druids get innate camo indoors???
Anyway I tryed this with a druid friend of mine. Did not go as planed. I am a lvl 64 necro
The Luggald Ambassador spawns in the UL room now. One step the wrong way and it's add city. so the druid smaked it with sow on and ran for the door. Since these mobs love to CC you he zoned back in INV. cleared the area where the amb stoped and killed him. Once he was dead BM poped. At this point the druid get the pig and clean out the area by the campfire. should be easy. after about 10 min BM give the shout out to the zone. I would proxy pull and pull her to camp. Once there I FD to loose agro have the druid sick pet root snare dot.
BTW seems someone saw us doing it and a week later I zone it to find a dead ranger and druid with a rooted BM at zone it. I lived for about 2 sec.
PS. (First and foremost, it is almost imperative that you have at least Exodus) do you loose agro when you do this?? If you do why even do it?

Posted:Mar 12 2003 at 3:57 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) This is a Pally, SK, Ranger dream ring. Great everything, HP, AC, Mana, WIS, INT, STA and a save. What more could you ask for? So many folks debate about melee/caster uses; lords knows, the Hybrids can really use this. As an SK, I will be sure to try and get one.
Yeh the 10 WIS screams Cleric (and they will scream for it) and the 12 STA screams Warrior (and they will scream loader for it) but the ones who will get the most use out of all stats are the Hybreds and any of us would love this ring.
I guess I need to get some friends into the LoY content and get me a new ring.
It's an incredible ring for anyone, and as an SK, I hate to admit that it would probably actually be better for the masachistic shamans and necros. Hitpoints, mana, and all that other great stuff that means everything to them.

Friend on Trib got offered 2 White Dragonscale Cloaks and 15k, or one Cloak and 40k (or some deal of the sorts) for this ring. I dunno if he took either of them or what, but it is a nice ring. Highly coveted. 70hp/12sta is also very nice for melee...
Very nice ring indeed. I would think necro or shaman could maximize the stats. Also Hybrids could all make good use of all the stats, though not sure what other options are out there for them. Grats to whoever gets ahold of this.
