Here is how I got mine, as a perennially broke Ranger on The Rathe, at level 51.
First, I went to Jaggedpine Forest, and soloed Timber Griffons. I sold their junk, but saved up the griffon meat. (as an aside, I actually started this at level 50, and at 51, switched my AA point distro to 90%AA/10%EXP)
Second, on The Rathe, Griffon Meat sells for around 50pp each. So, once I had five slots of griffon meat, I took them to the bazaar and left my character setup overnight and sold all five slots.
Third, just checked out the bazaar, and bought my Tae Ew beauty for 4500pp.
Obviously your economy may be different but this was an easy way for me to get a wonderful chest item, and I have gotten almost three AA points at the same time. I know, there will be those who recommend not setting the AA points up until higher in level, but I wanted to be able to solo for points while essentially farming griffon meat and NOT level.

I got this today. Guy was selling 5 of them in the bazaar for 3800. I asked my guild should I buy this at this price or could some one make it for me. One of my guildies told me to hold off. Next thing I know I am in PoK selling Handmade bags for 55pp, when my guildy says "Come get it Rin, I talked him down to 2825". I was so excited. Another shamaness in guild saw it and wanted one also(even though she is not high enough to wear it yet, but cant pass up a good deal), sure enough he was able to get a second one. So here I am my nice new chest piece, time to sell the polished tin. I love you Kabal, and thx alot Mey.
I had to puzzle this one too. Use a medium banded BP mold, called a banded sectional mold. you can buy it in Freeport or PoK. combine with the distilled lizard blood and 3 sheets of metal. No hammer! any forge will work.
My smithing is at 221. I succeeded once out of 2 tries. Good luck.
It's banded MAIL mold, not banded bp, and leave off the medium. Small and large molds are labelled.Medium is the default size. Look for "Banded mail mold".
Which mold is needed for this? I have everything else but can't get an answer on which mold is needed for the tunic. If anyone knows, please post it here and where you can buy it and a price if you know. BTW I already checked eqtraders and it says banded tunic mold but can't get an answer on what that is or where it is. Thanks in advance Haludil 51 Barbarian Mystic Morrell Thule
A guildmate had a blood, then I got a blood. Took some time to find a trustworthy smith, but I am now wearing one of these and all it cost me was 210p for 2 sapphires and the 109p I gave the smith as a thank you. AC and resists are better than Golden Leaf, stats slightly lower. Get to CT and get some blood. Enchanter enchants the sapphires, a brewer combines the 2 blood with the 2 enchanted sapphires, smith combines the blood with 3 metal sheets and a Mail Sectional Mold.
As a Ranger this is a great item just because it is an item that can be bought and resold. Just got mine for 18Kpp on the Tribunal. Its perfect for people like me that don't have a guild, and have the chance to quest some of the plane armor. I admit though, it would be nice for it to have some kind of effect of even a focus effect on it.

Actually they're pretty dam close to even, guess it would depend on your tastes.
Foreststalkers BP 3 more ac 9 more str 2 more dex/PR
Tae Ew BP 1 more sta/agi 4 more wis 5 more MR/FR/DR
Foreststalkers BP has 3ac and 5stats more. Tae Ew BP has 13resists more.
Foreststalkers BP clicks Call of Earth which is useless after a point, namely when you get Call of the Rathe at 62 or 61.
Personally I'd take the Foreststalkers BP, I'm an AC ***** and I prefer more str/dex to more wis/resists. I ain't a fugging full time caster, I am a full time melee though.
Yes, they're very close, but I put this over Forest Stalker for one reason - droppable. When you do get an upgrade you don't have to feel like crap that your shiny Kael BP is now toilet paper.
Honestly though, all things considered, I prefer this over Forest Stalkers. The resists and very slightly better HP (1 more sta) put it over the top.

I don't think you are an idiot......just a limited individual. I AM a Ranger and I'm here to tell you that you just don't get the point of being a hybrid. In not understanding the capabilities of the spells we have, or, in not having enough imagination to use them properly, you should read on. Soloing with fear and/or bow kiting you have to keep ALL your skills up and that includes the various categories of spells. Assuming you have a fresh c3 on check out these methods in practice before responding. Find a place where you can fear kite a level-appropriate animal source. Panic Animal uses very little mana and you should only have to snare twice. Before you start you should have buffed yourself and then get to kitin.....after 1 or two you'll notice your mana waaaaay up. Go find a dark blue con with some PP's since animals carry very little of anything, and melee your lil dark heart out. You may have to resnare, heal a lil bit and continue.....but you should be able to heal yourself, get back to kitin afterwards, and your mana is back up and you can melee again. Once you've kited a few and your mana is back up from the Melee Heals try this on your next kite or melee:Burning Arrow[lvl39, 120hp], Flaming Arrow[lvl20 somethin, 80hp], Careless Lightnin[lvl39, 99hp]. Repeat til mana nearly dry. My math says 299 on 3 casts....when you recover from castin Lightnin, Burnin Arrow is ready again. Cast them up close and take your whuppin to get Def/Dodge/Parry/Riposte, etc. skilled-up, or kite with these spells and have your skills stay up in ALL areas....as a hybrid should. Please don't talk to people like they're idiots.....Peace n Love Ranja.....

If you're a dumb *** who buffs the entire party with every spell in your book and then jumps into a fight well you dont deserve a nice bp like this one imo. Granted im only lv 56, so i dont know about everything the 60s and 65s know, but its pretty much common knowledge, your job as a ranger is dps/sa/snare when needed.
Out of the whole Tae Ew chain set, i think the only two pieces i would use over my current equip would be the tunic and leggings. Why? Because even though the other pieces have good ac, the stats are very weak. But the tunic and leggings are very nice, with the stats on tunic and HP on leggings, + the high ac.
It looks black from a distance, but it's really a very dark green. Just got the legs and the Bp today. Very nice upgrade over my old Shissar scale Bp and Tolans legs.
