Planes of PowerI saw one of these drop around the time of the last post here, and this froglok was a 1-2 group mob. We had eleven and had no problems. A week or two later we went back and it was a much different fight; we had quite high DPS and by the time the froglok dropped there were easily 25 mobs in camp. Perhaps we found a bug, or maybe this tunic should be a tad better for the effort needed.
Regardless, the ranger was happy, and he won the tunic uncontested on a pickup raid, so I suppose it's nice for someone who got passed up for chest slot drops previously. But none of us on the second raid had any desire to go back, really, when Skyshrine MQs, WW dragon BP's, and Hurricane Chain Tunics are all well under 50k on our server.

You know that seems to be the whole concensus of everyone on this game these days that if something drops not worth someones time than the items sucks or the person who wants the items should just go spend 50k and get a better item I think that is the kind of attitude that really made this game go downhill as far as people go. I mean no offense to the original poster but darn everything has a purpose in this game.
granted I do not know the person in question nor his game style but perhaps he wated the tunic just as a think to say look my guild took this guy out or maybe he does not have the cash and is like a lot of people and enjoys doing things like get armor that others deem crappy but do not knock a guy cause that is what he wants.
I think all the high lvls with all the super uber gear and all the big pp accounts forgot where they came from the humble beginings of Branze and Banded being the bomb to get and if you had anything lie a SoY you were uber, granted like all things in time the world has evolved and the game has produced greater treasers but pls when posting try to remember no everyone has been playing for 4 years and does not have uber characters

I have to agree. My biggest thiing is, if you want it, go out and get it. Say someone wanted a Tolan's BP because it is a nice BP for a ranger, and you have a level 35 ranger that wants an upgrade... so go kill Trakanon and get it. Or if you want an enchanter to make you some resist jewelry, go out, get the diamonds and blue diamonds and the metals needed to make these items, and sign on an enchanter friend to help you out. I see one of the biggest problem with this game not necesarrily at VI's end, its the quality of the player that wants to be handed everything. And your right, not all players have the 50k or so for an item to throw around.

Named Frog drops this item. goto frog cave, kill all frogs and tadpoles, he spawns, clear a path to him and kill. we had 2 groups, all 64-65.

Verant finally did something smart in making most of the stuff from 2nd Tier planes droppable. There plan was since most 60+ would have Kael or SS armor that drops like this that are decent can be filtered to mid 50s characters. Because really there are few easy BPs to get without a raid.

Okay, so this is a Teir 2 drop... and your complaining?
This is a very decent BP for the chain classes. Yes, there are better, but they are NO DROP. This should pull in at least as much as the TOV MQ, maybe even a little more just because it IS droppable. So If you don't use it, or TWINK with it... it's good for several thousand plat to buy whatever else.
Personaly, I'll take one for both my 52 Ranger AND my 52 Shammy. (I'll take the minor stat hits for not being 53 yet, you over analitical types)

This is a very nice chain class tunic. Is comparable to anything level 60 players could obtain, save BP's that drop off high level raid mobs, etc. To think this drops off a mob that can be downed by a single group makes it VERY nice.
Being a 51 Ranger that is still wearing a Ivy Tunic I'd kill for this one... I'm sorry but 43 AC for a Ranger Chest piece is pretty darn good, and one that you don't have to quest for at that. For those of you that think it's junk feel free to give it to me when one drops for you.

Maybe a lot of loot isn't being carried by the mobs to give us when we kill them. Couldn't they be wearing it to increase their saves, AC etc.?
