This camp is located not far from Stalkers as someone said previously, just right across the river. The camp has 5 spawns of the larger spiders the first two are around a tree, while the other 3 are behind them on the hillside. Amongst the three on the hill there was a named giant spider--Terror Matriarch which if killed has a 3 day spawn..no one has really said if these consorts can be snared or not...will find out later.
This looks fairly 'Gothy' if that makes sense. In the old models and new it looks very cool. In the older it looks like a semi transparent top. On the new it even has two shoulder rings that look like they lead to less transparent material. They look awesome. Very unique, not like same skin other color....
I wanted one for looks alone, didnt realize the stats were nice also.
My Erudite Enchanter wears this -- he doesn't dye his stuff and he has one of the most unique looks for an int caster that I've seen (and he does get a few comments on his outfit).
It's a kind of dark brown color with a neat etched appearance to it. Coupled with twice stiched sandals and burlap pantaloons... he has this brown shor sleeve look with alternating bands of gold and black down his legs with a tan type of skirt overlay to them...
Really unique and sharp look which makes him very easy to spot quite often.
I have time to play for a few, but timing for raids and stuff is usually off (not enough time). This shirt is awesome and even at a lower level I benefit with most of its stats.
In fact, its closer to my Thurgadin robe than to my planar robe (Thurg robe is significantly better though)
Its a nice item for people who don't have a Thurgadin or better robe; and that includes a LOT of people, particularily 50-55, but I know level 60's still in planar robes, etc.
It may have a vanity purpose as well. If it's actually a shirt, and not a robe in terms of graphics, it may allow arm, leg and wrist graphics to show, which int casters normally do now have the opportunity to show off.
i agree i hate wearing a dress before this one i had the shirt that drops in the tenibrus vamp castle <not a dress either> (paid for by the commitie to get high elf guys outa there dresses)
Just picked one of these up last night as a matter of fact. True, there are better chest items out there, but this item looks way cool.
I'm level 57 Enchanter, and this is still comprable to anything I'm currently wearing. I've worked hard to to get my two most important stats (charisma and intelligence) at 200 unbuffed. I have all sorts of resist gear and hp/mana gear which I swap out as needed. So what this comes down to for me at least is the look.
In my younger years I opted to wear enchanted Tier' Dal chainmail instead of a robe. You don't know how many times I was mistaken for a rogue, and to my thinking, it was for the best. I got tired of the same old robed look, and I had many less tells for buffs as I usually go roleplay.
All my armor pieces show up that were hidden by my robe, and just last night alone I had two compliments on my look. For me that's just as important as heavy stats. It's nice to stand out in a sea of similarity.
If you have a chance, pick one of these up. You'll be glad you did.
p.s. They sell for about 7k in the bazaar, at least on Prexus.

#REDACTED,
Posted:Oct 24 2002 at 5:43 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) why in the world is there a recommended lvl of 50 on this piece of junk?? it looks like a piece of lowbie quest armor to me....
I would have to say that this is a good piece for the fact that I am unable to find a group to complete the Skyshrine or Thrugdian Armor Quests. There are alot of people that I know that havent completed them yet and it is a good upgrade item to some things that others have before getting those armors.
What lowbie quest armor do you know of that adds 10 to main statistics and 8 to secondary, not to mention the 30hp/mana? This is not necessarily a great peice, but it WOULD be twink material... hence the required level. They should make it 35 or 40 or such, because by 50, most people do have better. But all in all, would be nice to add to my robe collection.
Yes, and sta is for mages as well, but cha is for chanters and necros. So what if mages and wizzys get screwed down, both would almost undoubtedly be better and if not, how often does sta come into play w/ a high lvl mage or wizzy. Mages (up until recently) were just great mana batteries and had pets to do fighting and wizzys should't be doin much in upper lvl groups, but sittin and meddin w/ your nice new familiar, then gettin up to nuke it every once in a while. Sta missing does not seem that big of a deal to me. Of course, I could go wrong, my experience w/ casters in the high end game is pretty nonexistent, just strats I get from my guild forums that I check to see help for my wizzy and mage alts.
Actually, hate to say it but in order a high level necro will look at this for +HP, +Int, +Mana, rest of stats are nice. For a necro, HP=Mana, plain and simple.
This is a nice item for someone like myself that is either too lazy or not able to replace the BCR I got at level 30. The Thurg/Kael/SS robes are better of course, and a lot harder to get.
True, most 60+ people probably have better - but it is my experience that the first tier zones are designed mostly with levels 50-55 in mind.
