Caster Items from Umbral

Umbral is a mixed ground for item drops, I have found. First of all, its almost planar in drop design. Particular mob types drop items for a particular class or class group. While many higher level zones are this way, Umbral, like Fear, Hate, etc, has a drop type for a great many classes. In truth, some of the class drops (ie Raldukan Armor for plate classes) are superior to planar drops.

In the case of casters, the drops by Netherbian Ravagers (which drop rotting flesh items like these sleeves) and the Fallen Soldiers (which drop the Dreamweaver items)fall a bit short of the planar loot standard. This, by no means, does not suggest that there are some nice drops for us Casters. The Fallen Sargent drops the Vah Shir Fur Robe which is quite nice for the level of difficulty to obtain. The Rotting Flesh robe has +15 int which is nothing to sneeze at.

The Bracelets of Might, Intelligence, Quickness, etc are, of course, are WONDERFUL little pieces of arm jewelry.

My suggestion to any guild who may happen to have 8-12 solid 52+ members on who are used to working as a team is to swing by the Umbral Plains and park just inside the entrance from ME. A good puller can bring in pretty much your choice of mobs for both exp (a bit slow due to the number of hit points these mobs have) and for some excellent item drops. The named mobs (excepting Doomshade, Rumblecrush, and Zelnithak who are VERY high end raid level) are doable by a strong 55+ group or by 10+ lvl 50+ people and have some very sought after items as well.

Anyhow, enough babbling for me. Good luck my fellows!
