Jsut had it dropped is it for a quest?

Definitely drops off the Darkpaw warriors. What a freaking cruel joke. They are right at the level a melee can actually hunt with success here he wont need this. Cant believe a weapon this crappy is no drop.

You've got to be kidding me! Trash? What else do you want? Does a butt-load of damage, it's magic, +3 str. It's not a GREAT weapon. But it's enough to do dmg, and it's 2hs which SK's need to work on epic skill anyways. I'm sorry it doesn't have +10000 int and +50000 Dex or something, but it's a nice weapon to have for a lvl 25-45 sk
Nope, he's right, You're wrong. Note the NO DROP tag on this. Also note you said it would be good for 25-45. Now, anyone who had fought the Darkpaws knows that it takes a solid group of at LEAST mid 40's to even have a chance in the gnoll caves.
Considering that this has a ratio of 2, which is awful for a 2hs these days, it's a pretty bad weapon, to be dropping from these mobs, AND be no drop.
Considering the fact that Arbiters combine greatswords are 30/43 and are dirt cheap (often under 500pp on my server) these days, why would anyone want this? Even a blackened alloy ******* sword is an upgrade to this thing.

Remember, it does have a Bonus of 22, that has to help for something, doesn't it?

Damage bonus is based soley on level, it's amazing how many people still don't realize this.

I got this last night on my Shadowknight, but why did they make this thing no drop when the much better rogue and monk weapons from this zone aren't? By the time a war/pal/sk are able to hunt in the caves, they will easily have a better 2h weapon.

Very possible that it is part of a quest.
I got one of these axes as a drop off of a gnoll in the caves.
The Darkwhatever gnolls, I don't remember which one, just one of the warriors I think.

Yeah, I saw one drop there last night too. dropped off a Darkpaw Warrior.
