The only reason for doing the Pine Scout stuff anymore, is just to say that you have them. There is an argument to made for doing the quests on progression servers, but on every other server, they are just something to do to occupy your time while waiting for groups to form.

Graphics are no biggie

If you don't like the leather graphics this thing puts out, then go to Kelethin. All the armor is completely the same, except it's cainmaile...go figure...
Invisible Coat

I cannot find this ruined gnoll chain coat anywhere in BB. Ive killed 11 lvls worth of gnolls! Are you sure it is here. Lol??? PS The sleeves too.

the armor over all works well. perhapse EQ really does know what they are doing and a point here and there work best for you? It does seem when you have a full suit to add up to more then you might expect. I can say I aggree with that to an extent. I think its the fact your 10 or so and have stats on all your main equipment? shrugs...do you move rate of movement? I argued a long time ago that agility CAN effect movement speed and everyone tells me is almost identical, and racially its an optical illusion. but you can see chars with higher agility naturrally seem to move a TAD faster. I think perhapse the added agility might reflect this?

A leather graphic? What the hell is that?
Great

I agree.
Wish these were around when I was starting out with my druid. Only bad thing about this armor, it requires the ruined chain armor that drops from gnolls in BB, but the final product is leather..should be at least chain graphics IMO.
Looks too close to the Pine Druid stuff.
indeed

I wish this was around when I was a newbie. I spent most of my time running around in my PJ's.
Very cool...

...at least for a newbie tunic. 10 times better than any peice of leather or patchwork you can buy. We were ALL newbies at one point, i only wish i could have had the opportunity to work for one of these back in the day :)

I totally agree. Unfortunetly the chance of a newbie needing this is very unlikely. Especially on Drinal where it's impossible to find newbie equipment because everyone else gives away they're spare equip. It's kinda sad when a totally untwinked newbie is harder to find than a nightfall giant. <sigh>

I have this on my low lv ranger on drinal. I have almost a full set of this gear, minus one of the bracers replaced with a hero bracer and the helmet replaced with crested helmet. I use a blackened alloy sword and the bow I made with his archery skills, even though my main is a lv48 sk. I try not to twink to much, it kind of ruins the fun of finding that better armor and upgrading farther down the line and to see how that class plays with the basics. Something odd I have noticed about using a full suit or close to a full suit of "newbie gear".... is it almost seems like there is some sort of hidden bonus to stats and movement for using that completed suit of gear... anyone else ever notice that??
