No backstab mod on it, obviously rogues should still take first priority but the no backstab mod makes it worse then it could be. great offhand weap if you can manage to get a ssra piercer
This weapon in now way is "Rogue" priority. The stats on the weapon are perfect for many classes ... warriors rangers and bards etc. Also the lifedraw proc is an execellent agro proc for warriors to keep the agro. So this weapon has no real priority for any class. All classes should have an equal chance for this weapon.
Generally, weapons like this are rogue priority because of the damage/delay, you dont find much better prepop than 16/20, so since this dagger is 15/20 thats really good regardless whether or not it has a backstab mod...as far as the lifetaps go....def not, i play a sk and they arent good for anything but helping the clerics out, think before you speak, kkthx =)

-->from eq caster Seething Fury 1: Increase Attack Speed by 40% (L1) 2: Increase Armor Class (AC) by 9 (L1) 3: Increase Attack (ATK) by 40 (L1) --- seething fury is the proc on rogue epic. bravo you got that right; however one of the components of seething fury is 40% *haste* and since rb is slow compared to many other rogue pokers, people like to trade it in for something faster once they get a 41% haste item. you might want to live by your own advice there
Actually, Seething Fury is a worn effect and not a proc. As already noted though, it is the +attack and not the haste that makes the effect really invaluable.
I use Ishinaear in the mainhand and Ragebringer offhand and it is quite a viable combonation. Before folks curse something better than the epic for dropping though, consider that this was much harder to obtain than my epic was.
Other classes tend to like this weapon as an offhand choice because of the 100HP but it is far from a perfect choice for many of them. The taunt on the lifetap is too low for tanks at this level and Knights and Bards all have better options. Actually, Rogues do also have better options in Luclin or off of Tunare but these are quite hard to come by. Shei drops these fairly commonly in comparison.
Even with a 41% haste item RB is still a very good off hander, because of the 40 atk. So while sdleeting fury is a great haste, it is also more than that.
All the rogues in my guild are attack buff nuts and 40 attack from one weapon is very very good (keep in mind that the 'ultimate attack buff' (avatar proc) is only 100 attack so this comes close.
greater attack value = more dmg for every hit scored on the enemy, but you already knew that :)

I would gladly substitute this item for RB as i will be getting Gauntlets of Dragonslaying soon (41% haste item). With this in main hand and my Primal Velium Spear in offhand i would throw my RB in the bank real quick like)

Posted:May 24 2002 at 3:55 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Seriously though, great weapon. I know there are plenty of rogues drooling over this, but what about warriors? Great ratio, low delay, a proc, and DEX without sacrificing STR or saves. Even comes with bonus HP giving the druids/shammy a second more to patch before ya get that complete heal. I'm not saying that this wouldn't be great in the hands of a Rogue, but I'm saying think of other possibilities also. Oh, and while the life tap would help occasionaly with a rogue, the main tank type would apreciate the extra healing just a bit more.
why not a warrior? 2 reasons 1) warriors piercing maxes below their other skills 2) there is a deficiency(sp?) of high dmg low dly piercers for rogues. there are a few, but not as many as the uber warrior weapons.
pally piercers? they got the narrandi's lance, spear of the dawn or whatever, and various others :).
A shortage of rogue piercers? After you cut out the 115 different new monk h2h weapons, about 90% of what drops in luclin is new rogue piercers (the other 10% being Centi swords and goranga idols :)

Posted:May 24 2002 at 1:16 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) actually any rogue i know would probably end up using this, a primal spear in offhand and some 41% haste item like a shroud of the dar brood or cowl of mortality. ragebringer would be banked.
Actually shroud is 31% haste and cowl is 36%. 41% haste item are not THAT easy to get, and i'm pretty sure they are mostly defaulted to class whose epic does not grant such a big haste (say warrior?). And RB effect is not only haste if i remember well, there's an ATK component in it, which is nothing to cough at. On my server at least, there are a few rogues using RB in secondary, and switching with primal every now and then, but i don't think there's one lying in bank.

Sorry about my grammar , i'm french you know, and even if we are good at most things, foreign languages does not belong to the list

Nice weapon for such a tough MoB. I'd say to the rogue just for the ratio in main hand, RageBringer in offhand or whatnot if the rogue has a haste item. Then again, its good for all the classes listed here.
