Shadows of Luclin
This belt dropped for us tonight from a rare spawn, Praem Softbreeze, an alien in the "hidden" area. Conned about level 41 (yellow to 39 and dark blue to 42). Lots of hps and some resists but not too bad a fight. Watch out for their "spinning" proc ... ugh.

I don't actually know what drops it, but I can take an educated stab. I know that it's not a common drop from the named elementals (I've gotten at least one of the two versions of all four). The Shades drop stuff that sounds depressing (Groaning, Darkedge, etc).
So, if the poster who said that this drops in the lower-level area is right, there are only 3 types of mob left: aliens, fish, turtles. Given that choice, I'd have to guess aliens for an item like this. Second guess would be turtles.
Of course, it'll drop off a rare spawn, named which will only spawn when you kill a lot of the regular PHs (as with all of the other good loot in this zone).
Question: has anyone tried killing any of the Katta folks in this zone? It's easy enough to repair Katta faction, so I was wondering if anyone had tried and found out what loot the guards and/or misc NPCs have. I imagine most of the NPCs have nothing (being quest givers), but guards and/or one or two other NPCs might have something. Wouldn't it be a hoot if there were rare spawn guards who had great loot too? Don't think I want to lower Katta faction THAT much to find out.
Tip for those looking for good stuff: there's a nice INT-caster usable dirk that dropps off the shadows. You should be able to hunt them around 35-40, and at those levels, this is a nice weapon for a caster (lousy ratio, but good stats). It's called Darkedged Dirk. I just gave one to a friend yesterday who started an Enchanter. He was having a lot of fun with it. Got 12 levels in less than 3 hours (of course, he had some very nice, high-40s buffs as well ;-)

Oh, one other thing. If there are two versions of this (as there usally are in this zone), expect it to be "Belt of Safety" or some such and have something like 5AC 3DEX/AGI 10HP. This would be in keeping with the other drops in this zone.

AS we may have all noticed while on the moon.
The common item drops here are almost better then some of the upper Old World drops.
I agree. TS on rodcet as of today is a ghost town. 10 or less people in the zone and most are just there to run though to Scarlet desert, Katta, Or Fungus grove.
Same with Mons and a few other zones on the moon.

Also shows Kunark needed. I would think if it comes form a zone on the moon that needs to have the Luclin expiation >:)

Not to shabby item for the zone level. What really kills me is places like Dreadlands. A level 40+ zone where the mobs drop Bronze...Lazy thinking there VI!
Other issue is this zone LAGS big time, most times I have seen about 10 people max here.

Not all zones are meant to find gear in. Some are just for experience and that is pretty much what Dreadlands falls under like Oasis, Overthere and Marus Seru. I have spent alot of time in this zone and havent found many drops here, for some reason on my server this zone is completely uninhabited.

It's basicly a Spider Fur Belt with some class restrictions, half the HP and an added 1.5wt. Key in the fact that it drops in a zone easily huntable by people in their mid-upper 30's and this is one quality item. Granted you probably can't sell it for a whole lot(maybe 400-500pp), but it beats a lot of the stuff that drops in other zones in the same level range.
