Though I have not completed the quest I do have many of the items. The best tip i can offer is this- when killin the Arcane use fire bolt (lvl 8 wizzy spell) at a geat distance. With it u will be so far away as to not aggro the mob but doing large amounts of damage. Greens can take up to 2 hits with it the blues up to 6. WARNING: when looting u are highly likely to get aggro from the dead mob's friends. Almost certain unless it is the one closest to neriak and the one to the right of that; and those were iffy. In order to be able to loot all of them bring 2 other ppl in need of the cloaks as u will assuredly run out of mana before they are all dead. FYI u need 19 cloaks to complete all the quests.
In order to get embalming dust it is best to go to NRO and hunt mummies, there are more of them and u will get less adds than u would in the bone yard in Nektulous. (for me this was the hardest item to obtain)

I found 1 basilisk hatchling all day...What drops the large snake skins and embalming dust? Tried killing every different kind of mob I could find.
Try going to EC. Large snake skins drop off asps and other of the "bigger" snakes. Embalming dust, as I recall, comes from mummies of all sorts.
Easier than SpeedyD says, all the ingredients are in Nektulos: Large snake skins drop off the new black mambas, there are also some new lesser mummies and zombies there for the dust
Nice armor for the newbie non-twinked character who completes the quest. I have a 5th lvl Ogre Beastlord, and it was a relief to be able to finish the quests and have decent armor with stats at that lvl. Cant wait to see the other races armors when VI gets around to them.
