For once could you people just give a description on the /loc or give info on the mob like hp attack pattern casting ability istead of blabbin useless info on wich class should or should not use it no one really cares we use what we like or what we can get or hell even what looks good.
Being a rogue with epic, this weap is hella nice in off hand.. Used to use a little centi LS, but with 2 more dam and delay not mattering as I have this in offhand, it's a noticeable increase in damage output I was slashing for a max of 68 with centi (str 188, dex 145 agi 139) but with ember I've hit for a max of 81. the 40% haste of my Ragebringer always helps too.
Agro? that's why they gave us evade
Nice pick up Ancatdub.. I paid 1K for mine on Rodcet, but prices are jacked on this server anyway. Centi SS 200-400, Centi LS 2k-3.5K. What the....?
Ok, this is slightly better than ghoulbane, but not nearly as good as a Centi Longsword (or a centi shortsword). Nice if you need the added resists, but can't imagine it will sell for much, with the centi swords selling for 1-2k for ls, and 400-600pp for ss. Of course, I wouldn't pass one up to replace my offhand sword, which is just a blackened alloy, but then, my warrior is only lvl 20. By lvl 44, He should have better.
I do agree that it would be good for a rogue (offhand), or possibly a ranger or bard, who wants a lot of damage, but doesn't want the centi's because they generate too much taunt.
Well, centis don't generate too much taunt as a ranger, they kill stamina though, other than that they're great. Oh well just thought I might comment on that, good day all.
*Edit* Oh ya, and the offhand weap swings seperately from the primary.
Seeing as how my gnome warrior is equiped with two crappy weapons; a silvery war axe(1hs) in main hand, and a polished obsidian axe from high hold pass(strength boost is nice though). But I'm not worried, being at only level 16, he is twinked with some fine plate armor and some barbed ringmail which I got in a group with my higher level shaman.
polished obsidian axe? I believe you mean polished granite tomahawk. 6/25 or so procs berserker strength, +10 str -10 agi 50 hp damage absorb. Anyways, not to get off topic, this weapon is great for rogues or rangers in their off hand - a nice damage value, without that pesky speed for taunting. Definately not a weapon for a main tank to use.
It could at least have had some +Fire damage... It's a bit slow though, so I can't see many people who hunt in this area wanting it for more than twink-wear.
I'd take this in a second over my current 1hs, the Ghoulbane. Better damage, plus some decent stats. Granted, I'd keep the GB around for fighting undead, but..
They way I understand Dual-wield works, and after goofing around with my rogue, it works like this. Everytime the offhand should have swung, it makes a DW check. If it passes it swings on the next attack of your primary. So if your even 1 delay higher in your offhand, you should only DW every other swing of your primary. I use a 10 28 and a 9 25 on my rogue, and he DW's all the time, and when I gave him a 3 20 slasher he would still DW like normal even though its a full second faster then his primary. So always match delays or put a faster in your offhand if you want to DW alot.
Lady Angel, I have to ask...what are you using for your 1hs? I'm still using my GB at lvl 40...this weapon is one step up from that (unless against undead of course). I would hunt for it, and may even start hunting for it very soon.
