As of the last patch, elementals like this are no longer in game in the Hole.

Saw it whilst exploring The Hole with my level 1 Brell worshipping Halfling Rogue. Spawns in a room with two other elemental type mobs in the castle - "castle middle" on EQ Atlas map. Loc is plus 478, neg 333, neg 146.

We were camping just outside the gate to the castle (in the court yard, just after you jump down) and pulled a Golem that wandered just to the gate. A few moments later Gibartik comes hauling out and I'm shouting to everyone "IT'S NOT A PET!!!" while they are all saying "what the?!?"
Anyway, there was no other groups in the Hole at the time so I think that it either wanders or can agro through the floor. His spawn point is on the second floor of the castle just above the first room you enter....

Pulling mobs from on top of the ledge at the entrance, this mob came twice within about 30 minutes. Once dropping the sash.

Does he really drop smoldering brand? if so... sweeeeeet. gonna annialate it when i get to higher... PS./pet get lost

When I was here before, he hit a crapload harder than that.. think it was 110+. Was kinda confusing seeing a pet hitting one of us that hard, thinking it went crazy.. then realizing that it's not a pet. Too bad we already pulled a golem *sigh*

Killed him today while hanging out in The Hole.. Dropped loam sash. Very easy mob to fight.

He may be in the city, but he spawned for us outside the city gates. I saw him coming straight across the lake, over the hill. Almost like we agroed him from across the zone. Totally weird. Didn't drop anything though :/

I wonder what its pet would look like??? maybe a human, or elf???

He does drop fairly often the Loam Belt(not sure of exact name). Channelers, Capturers, Visiers, Wizards and maybe more all seem to be placeholders for the named mobs that drop specific loam pieces : Bejewled Elemental, Gibartik, Rocksoul, Muck Covered Elemetal.

Is creature. Although it's sorta funny if you happen to have a pet with the right name. Confuses the hell out of observers, though.
