This is very much still active on TLP's. Currently on Mischief, killed the little **** lvl 17 hand of maestro and it didn't drop anything an immediately spawned the "A very unpleasant hand"
My guild took this thing down today with about 20 peeps. lvls 52-59, and one lvl 60 monk, we had a lvl 60 War before but he had to leave. I, a lvl 58 war was MT for it. We killed the little hand of maestro first wich was the first spawn. When we entered hate, Maestro wasn't up so we killed stuff up to the second floor, when we got there the hand of maestro was up. We moved back down, the monk pulled it, killed it, the VUH spawned, we killed that with only one death, the cleric in my group. You need to have a enchie or two just in case for wanderers who might add and cause trouble for you. After we killed it I got to loot the hand, now I'm four battles away from my epic, woot. :) Safests place to pull it is the part where there's a throne on the first floor where clerics of inny spawn. As allways make sure your tanks are fully buffed and casters are fm before attacking. And as usuall I forget to take screen shoots, lol.
Takata K'Trazz LVL 58 Darkelf Myrmidon of Rallos Zek Emarr
4 min fight tops. he's a puss with 30 or so people and no harder than any mini boss. droped hand but no warriors needed it (all had epics) so went into the MQ bank
Uh huh. Wuss. I would suggest any non-epic teams that try to take this mob with 24 people or less of levels 47-60 be very careful. We did just that, and got our clocks cleaned thoroughly. This is just a comment from an average char of level 54, with average equipment. We are not a weak, or disorganized guild. Just were outclassed. So be careful with the Hand, and don't be surprised if you bite it.

He really isn't that tough. Just make sure ALL casters are out of range of his AE lifetap or your clerics are going to be wasting a lot of mana that should be going to their tanks. Your clerics will be OOM very quickly if everyone in their group (themselves included) are getting hit every few seconds.
My guild took him out with 18 twice easily (No deaths). All 50+ I believe, One 60 Warrior was the only 60 we had the second time. Just gotta be real clear on strategy before you engage. Same tactics as you used to take down Maestro, the AE lifetap is pretty much front only, but if you're right behind you might catch it. Other than that it's pretty standard.
stay out of its ae life tap, its for warior epic, and needs to be taken out with nukes. i seen a lvl 51 warior tank it with no other melees involved, after a good 15 seconds of agro he called for assist and the nukers squashed it while the other meele classes just used some form of ranged attack. oh ya, and 0 deaths
How about some battle strategies? This thing wiped out our raid twice! Of course that cone shaped AE comment helps a lot..wish someone had told us that.
Yes, it despawns - not sure how long though, I think roughly 45 mins. However if you really do not want to kill it, do not kill maestro's hand before this and it will never spawn (maestro's hand is non-kos)
Also - if you do wipeout to it, it does corpse camp, so will need to train it off somewhere before rezzing up.
Been on two raids where this thing wiped us out. It hit me for up to 255 with up to 200 or 300 (not sure) LT. LOH and 10 seconds or so later dead. Puller 55 warrior went down fast. I think it caught the clerics etc off guard.
this hand is very unpleasant. after we killed the hand of the maestro, this baby immediatly spawned. All my guild had been slained by it, but 3 guys, including me. We camped b4, and when I relogged, the hand was still there. She did not attack me, so Im sure she has a VERY LOW aggro range.

The AoE lifetap is in a cone-shape effect like the Maestro's. Only one tank should be in front of the mob and the rest should be in the back. This greatly reduces the amount he can heal himself.
Does the AE lifetap of this mob have a damage cap like my AE rain spell does for instance, or does it drain from every mob in range? My question concerns the strategy for taking him out. Perhaps it would be best to only have a couple tanks on him in order to limit the amount of regenning he can do by his lifetap. We wore him down though i'd have to say he was as tough or tougher than the maestro. He resisted all by my poison DD, and couldnt be snared. Our biggest problem with this guy was spawning him. The hand of the maestro could not be snared by us, though it was dispelled several times to start the fight, and in the 3 times we spawned the unpleasant hand (maybe 4) only once were we able to kill the hand of the maestro before it got out of the room. Once it ran right up the ramp to the upstairs.
You cannot pin this Hand in a corner like you can with some of the other Mobs in Hate. He's large enough that he can just step right over a full-size Troll or Ogre so contianing the fight can get...interesting. Make sure you've got room for this hand.
