I often see this guy at the loc someone else gave, neg 2007 neg 728 near Cabilis. And indeed, when I finally decided to work on getting Greenmist for my SK, I found him there. I went off and killed giants to get the misscribed spells he wanted, and came back and he was still there. I paused to cast Identify on the spells just so I could report the results, and when I looked up again he was gone!
So I ran back to the giant fort and fortunately found "a forest giant" in the room where he sometimes spawns. As usual, he said something about not letting a lizard escape. I've killed him many times before and never seen anything pop out, so I assumed the quest had been changed so the knight was always at Cabilis and the giant's text just hadn't gotten changed. But this time, when I killed the giant, "an iksar knight" really did appear and started running out of the fort toward Cab. I hailed him en route and he stopped, so I gave him the items he asked for and he despawned. I guess I should've waited and done it closer to Cab so I could follow where he went afterward. Oops!

After reading these posts of useless information i thought I would give a real post. His Location is NEG 2007 NEG 728. He is on the same faction as the necromancer in Cabilis, so you need to work faction or buy some essence of iksar to raise faction. After I did turn in he depopped then 10 seconds later he respawned and ran over to the loc above and sit down. Also one last note, I am a dark elf shadow knight so this quest is doable by other races than iksar.

I was hunting giants in the fort, along the back wall, and kept running into this guy. He was running straight into the southwest corner of the fort, just stuck up against the corner and running non-stop, never getting anywhere.
Sometimes giants get stuck at that spot too, trying to walk into the walls, so there must be a pathing problem with that corner of the fort.

I did the same as everyone else, killed "a forest giant" over & over, & got nothing. Finally, had a Druid track the knight & she found him right at his spawn point, but underneath the ground. I petitioned & a GM showed up & repoped him above ground where he was supposed to be. I had to explain the whole quest & triggering sequence to convince the GM I wasn't just looking for a free ride. Also, the knight wandered off in less than 2 minutes from spawning, so grab him quick.

The Iksar Knight is broken, he is not at the 1st building crouching. I have tried killing the giant in the middle hut, I get his message, however, the lizzy doesn't pop. I have looked at other forums on this guy, the most recent post is that he spawns under the world, and you would have to get a GM to repop him. I am on TM server, and there isn't a GM on most of the time. The best we get is a Guide that says, that they will have a gm look into it. I will post again. if I find anything out.
Not broken on the Bristlebane server. Still spawning, walking into the middle of nowhere, then reappearing back at the West Cab outpost.

i hailed him waited for him to walk off followed started attacking to soon to see him dig up the dagger, and he is a lot higher then that lvl toke him down to half hp and had less then that started to run to guards, i was just about to zone when the guards harm touched me for 701.

This guy is way over his level. I was fightin him at 24 and i kept up with him until half my health was gone. Thats when i couldnt keep up with him. I ran to the gates of cabilis to zone when...LOADING PLEASE WAIT appeared. The guards took me out. I suggest not fighting him until level 25+.

Really? I know Lord Qyzar says the knight's name is Grizzle, but when I tried "Hail, Grizzle" and "Are you Grizzle?" he didn't acknowledge the name.
Oh, and by the way, if you ask him about flarefire seeds he'll spit some in your face. Rude fellow! I tried giving him some and he said he didn't need them; I guess he has more than enough already.

At the time I was a 25 Druid using Wolf form and found the following: This MOB has SOW speed, insane magic resistence, amazing regen abilities and a large aggro range so you have to run half the zone just to get off a gate. I burned half my mana and didn't make a dent. He conned blue, but like a number of NPC's in EQ, is way beyond his level. Hope this helps.

This Knight is for the Iksar SK Zealots Khukri Quest (the fourth Iksar-SK quest weapon upgrade).
An Iksar SK (even Iksar monks don't have enough faction) needs to hand him 3 'miscribed spells' and a shovel to get 'The Chalp Diagram' which they then return to the guilmaster with their Knights Khukri to get the Zealot's Khukri.
He then heads out into the forest, stops, digs for a minute and drops a 'hilt' which will probably be used in the next SK Khukri quest (currently broken).
Yisaar (Iksar SK)

I know, radical new idea, but if you hail him when he is near the Cabilis entrance he responds with the usual stuff about being glad he is near the entrance and protected by the guards.
Wait a few minutes and he starts walking into the woods, eventually stopping somewhere (dunno where it was dark and I couldn't see a thing!) and after a few minutes says "dig dig dig, it must be here somewhere" or something like that. Then drops an obsidian hilt (I think it was called that) at his feet.
Wait a few minutes more and he pulls out a glowing dagger (this is in emote, I think this is what it says), says you can have a rusty dagger (which doesn't appear) and runs off.
Tried giving him the hilt, he said he didn't need it but thanks anyway.

He ends up stoping right next to the entrance to the tunnel to Lake of Ill Omen. That is where he digs up the "an obisdian hilt" and drops it on the ground. I waiting til he was finished finding what he was looking for (glowing dagger) and killed him. Nothing on the body. I think it is the obsidian hilt that you should be concerned with.
Right, this guy will give you the "Chalp Diagram" in return for some stuff including a shovel, but if you simply hail him (well, I also talked to him about the Chalp Diagram and said I'd retrieve some spells, but I didn't give him anything) then after a little while he gets up and walks west to neg 2184 pos 1586 pos 130. After a little while:

Ok here is my story, "a Forest Giant" that is in the giant fort sometimes says something about hiding something in his pouch and that you will never get it.....well when I killed him last this guy popped out of his corpse....so thinking i might get nice loot..attacked him.
He resists everything! I was already low health and had to Zone....he must drop something!

Heh i was running to Dalnir from the Lake zone when i encountered this guy. I figure since ive never seen him before id kill him. Heh, he resists a lvl 51 necro 100%. Sheesh!

I have a lvl 7 iksar monk went up to him, hailed him and he just said worthless crap.Anyway doesnt seem like a monster to me :P

My party and I found this guy at the Giant Fort. We had a Enchanter with us (level 18), myself and another friend (both 21 level mages) and a 22 level Druid. This guy, even after being tashaned, was resisting magic. He had nothing on him, and as far as I am concerned, a miscon.

What a pain .. immune to magic !!! I had to kill him the hard way!
15pt damage shield, regened myself and kept healing my self and slashing him for 15 pt till he died.. 5 min fight .... and he dropped ......

Tried attacking this guy, he appears to be immune to magic. He resists all my spell, even though he is blue to me at 26.

I was hunting at the giant's fort when I saw this guy come a long. I thought hey it's blue so I cast on it. Full resist on a blue. Hmmm, I thought maybe his resistances were super high so I cast malise. Full resist after full resist. I eventually killed him by chain-casting pets. He is immune to magic but has as much hp as a sapling.

I hailed him by the entrance to W Cab and he just mumbled something about chewing flarefire seeds. So I kept bugging him and him spit them on me. So the next time I foraged them in FOB i ran over and gave them to him. He said thanks, but he had no use for them. Maybe you have to give him more than one. Next time I will give him 2, if he spits on me again I'll just beat the **** out of him.

Beware of beating on him, the guards will kill your *** if you do (ask me how I know). But you don't have to kill him. This is what you do:
1) Hail him.
2) Wait several minutes until he gets up and starts to walk. Follow him into the woods. You will go past a lake full of small gobs and decaying skeletons. Ignore them even if they attack you because this guy will swim through the lake and keep walking, and you will lose him.
3) Eventually he will stop in a grassy clearing and utter a few words. Wait.
4) A minute or so later he will start "digging" and an item will drop between his legs. With some difficulty you can pick it up from between his legs. It is an "Obsidian Hilt". Some sort of quest item I'm certain, but I don't know what for.
5) After he drops it he'll say something more and then run off into the mountains at very high speed, vanishing. A short time later he reappers sitting in the guards area, so if you lose him while in the lake you can retry the quest.
