LOL I was just dinking around, looking for stuff i could own in EJ and TT, and saw this guy for my lvl 26 pally(need to change that, i swear after the patch lvl 25 became a hell level), and decided to read posts. Damn, that made my day, tyVm)
I killed a tottering ape yesterday and besides it dropping a few pp,s,g,cp it also dropped a black pearl. I wonder if that was rare, probably not seeing how BP aren't really rare themselves.
Most gems drop randomly from the mid level mobs. I've gotten black pearls from Mountain Giants and Sarnak Knights as well as Hematite from shrubs (SoNH) as well as various gems from the gnolls in Blackburrow. It's all a matter of luck.
Anyone ever heard of a web program called "Adopt an Obscure Charector"? It's a program you can download and put on your web page that put's a picture of them and has a line that says "proud adopter of an obscure charector".
I thought it was a good idea, so I had an epiphany; someone should start something like that for EQ. There are a lot of NPC's out there that very few people ever have any good reason to either deal with or work with. You could put the message of who they are and where they are in your details box on your charector, and someone could make a web page database of adoptee's. If anyone wants to help with this idea, or thinks it's a good one, or even if you generally have any idea's how to get this too work well, please send me a message at sanguanus@yahoo.com
