Special mobs that are part of EverQuest's 5 year anniversary. They can hit for well over 100 and only appear at night.
Spawned during EverQuest's fifth anniversary events in the spring of 2004, and made another appearance during Halloween Week the same year.
Formerly of the Butcherblock Mountains, East Commonlands, The Feerrott, Qeynos Hills, Steamfont Mountains, and Toxxulia Forest.

Im not one to get aggitaded by stuff like this, but...if you people would pay attention...under the name, it says "Special mobs that are part of EverQuest's 5 year anniversary. They can hit for well over 100 and only appear at night." Ambassador DVinn in CB was also affected by this, as he was a Fabled creature. These types of creatures only lasted for a while and no longer exist. If you were lucky, like me, you could have made it out with the Fabled Dragoon Dirk which dropped from F. Ambass. DVinn. so, i hope not to see anymore people complaining that they can't find them. noob or not, its right there, and right here.
You may want to edit the post, the skeletons are back. Not sure how long but it may be a few days for the halloween.

Has ANYONE else even heard of these? my fiance's 33 bst found one on a Skeleton Trooper and we have yet to find anyone else who has even seen them. Stats are as follows-

If I'm not mistaken they drop trooper's boots as well. I have a pair on my pally, nice stats. I don't know how to send pics, if I did I would submit one 8^(

i have yet to see one trooper in BB with anything on him besides a simple sword or something like that.........are these in the newbie areas of a zone or in a different zone or what.cause i havent seen one with anything of value like the bauble, board, skunk hat, or shield in bb

me and my son saw the shield and he looted it for his cleric, its very nice int and wis caster sheild, not for fighters.

I've seen a trooper spawn with a shield in the offhand, with luclin-era graphics. I wasn't able to kill it (too many adds), and I'm wondering if anyone else has seen one.
I really don't think these are 15.
