Ok so trying to get this drop for epic is like waiting for christmas in January , im atleast at 60 - 70 treants .... no drop.

I looted a Gnarled Wood today from one of these the item is No Drop and looks like the cinnamon stixs, anyone have any clue what this item is used for cant find anything on it

Looted a 'Broken Hardwood Branch' off of one today. No extra flags. This is the first time I've seen one since I started hunting here... Probably 50-odd treants. Anyone know of any quest that asks for it?

Looted a Twisted Wooden Root (wt: 5.0 - Size: Large - Class: None - Race: None - Not stackable) off of one once. Don't know what it is for, but a merchant offered me 77pp for it.
Vendor Fodder...I believe the roots and branches sell for 85pp (146 cha), glowing leaves sell for 71pp (same cha)

for bards, the lvl 38 charm does not work on them. It says they are too high when in fact, the song works for lvl 55 and below. Chant kiting takes a major long time but it also gives 1 blue of aa for every kill. Also, a page 17 of Dark power dropped from one of these. what is it?
The bard charm song in question does not work on 55 and below. It works on 51 and below. So there's nothing odd about not being able to charm these with it, they ARE too high.
The prime-numbered pages of Dark Power drop as part of a quest. You need to get them all (2-19, I think) and put them in a book you get from a quest mob in either PoT or PoK.
Ive been soloing these treants at level 52 for a while now. just chant kiting with selo's drum. i get about 2% xp per kill. very nice and fast xp. I twist poison, disease and fire chants with either slow or cold. they are more resistant to cold, ive seen. pretty cool soloing yellows again. =)

just killed one of these buggers. Hits for around 285 fairly quick, hosed my 49 necro pet in about 20 seconds. Low fire resist, and mediocre magic resist. Couldn't get poison or root to stick at 54. They do heal slightly at about 10% hp. Took close to 10 splurts, 4 bonds of death, 4 ignite bloods, 12 dooming darknesses, and 1 defoliation. Dropped absolutely nothing, but I felt uber for being only 54 hehe.
Dropped the Nightmarewood bow staff for the new fletching.

The spiders here drop silk for bow thread. Anyone else getting the feeling a lot of items will need to be quested for?
