Did this last week with 10 people, highest lvl was 68, 2 chanters, 1SK(8.5K hp), 1 Paladin(8.4K hp), 1 cleric, 1 druid, 1 Beastlord, 1 (might have been 2) ranger and another (dont remember class might have been a lower lvl rogue). actually, all in all, it was pretty easy, had 2 or 3 deaths on one of the encounters before boss, but none on boss himself to my recollection. yes we HAD the full complement of 18 when we started, but 1 group couldnt get in due to dbl leader bug, and 2 other people dropped for one reason or another. This guy has tons of HP and regens fast, so ya just gotta pound away at him, he hits like my little sister, and fairly slowly at that.
***note to all*** dont be invis when your group leader hails the Erudite outside the hedge, (pretty sure thats why 1 didnt get in)
Did hedge the other day with 16 i believe, maybe 15. Went pretty dang flawlessly. Got to construct and was a little worried, as im a 61 war and only had 6.2K hp atm. 65 cleric was healing me while 65 shammy spot healed and healed other getting hit by ripostes. We did great, i kept agro pretty much the entire time (very slow once slowed btw) and not one person died on construct. There were 3 deaths due to adds during the fights before construct, 2nd, 5th, and 6th encounter i believe. Overall a very good raid =) First one i've ever led. Gonna do em regularely every saturday about 7pm PST on the Bertoxx server.
As others have said, the waves with 6-8 mobs spawning on top of the group were much tougher than the boss at the end. He went down pretty easily in about 3-4 minutes for us: I kept Pyro, Funeral Pyre and Splurt running the whole fight with no resists and Mind Wracked Thelin (who'd been mezzed by one of the chanters in the raid) for extra mana for the other casters in the group. Not a single player death, whereas in the previous waves we often had a couple of people down and usually at least one.
Go around and kill all the trash mobs before you let him spawn (keep thelin mezzed to prevent him from spawning) and you won't get any adds during the fight.
Tanked him the entire fight, cleric just kept supernal remedy on me, never had to ch me except while construct was being debuffed and slowed. Fight lasted about 7 min so defensive had worn off, but construct only doubles for 1133 so it didn't matter anyway. Dropped leggings for us.
Was overkill with group of 18, avg level 64. He does hit pretty hard, but I think we'd only had one death during a prior wave, no deaths during fight with Construct.

This event takes place at the hedges(right near the PoT exit). You are only allowed 18 people for it, so choose your classes well .. . should have at least 2 enchanters and clerics. You also have to get pre-flagged .. not sure where, but its one of the buildings near PoN.
did this flag event last night with 13 people. was pretty easy and pretty fun. only a couple deaths on the waves of mobs. the construct is a punk but has a lot of HP so be sure to mez thelin and pull the four birds first. other than that, just avoid the ld demon and all will be fine.
Few nights ago we were getting a few people PoNB flagged again, and something happened to prove to us how gimp this guy really is.
Had the normal 55-65 group of 18 people, pretty even mix of characters. Well, on the 7th wave, all 3 clerics went down, then we realised we had no rezzers. No necros, no pallies, nothing. Bout that time the only healer there, a 61 Druid, goes "Oh crap, i guess this is all on me now huh?"
Well, we won. Very easily i might add. ONE lvl 61 druid healed more than adequately for this fight, and it wasn't a very quick one. (Bear in mind, no necro to rezz = no necro to feed mana)
So like many other posts have said, if you can get to him, you'll pwnt him.
Just did this maze last night, trust me, if your raid force can make it to him, you'll win, no worries there.
The 6 and 7 mob waves just before him were hard as hell, but doable. We had ONE 61 enchanter do it, and we had a few rangers, sooo...our tactic was to have the main tank (65 ShadowKnight) sir down where mobs spawn, when Thelin spawns the mobs, he get agro and us clerics (Four of them) chain-cast Ligfhts on him. Then, the rangers and druids would Snare-Agro them away and kite them around. Thus, our poor SK had about 4 mobs on him, which were then split-agro'ed by various warriors and pallies. No deaths in the 6th and 7th waves.
Once you reach the fountain, mez Thelin (yet again...) and kill the birdies in all the corners. Then, let him run into the fountain, the Cabbage Monster will pop, boom. Have MA tank obviously, chain-cast baby heals on him until slow lands, dont worry about agro, with Run2 or Run3, you can outrun him and keep running around the fountain until MA Darknesses/Stuns/Taunts him back. Piece of cake from there, but he DOES indeed have like 400K+ HP's. Was horribly long.
He dropped a Spectral parchment for us, the Armplates, and the Dagger shard. Give the shard to Thelin, Terris Spawns, they yell at each other, then he gives you the MAGIC/LORE dagger to roll on as a bonus. Woot! Nice dagger too...
The lowest level character we had was a 55 Enchanter, used for "occupying" Thelin's time. I myself was a 58 Cleric and found it hectic, but I didnt go oom much at all. Looking forward to visiting Terriss house now, good luck to you all...
When we took him last night, he dropped the shard for Thelin's Dagger, a Spectral Parchment, and the:

Slow and Cripple landed easily for me after Tash/Malo and he went down with no deaths. Getting to him was harder than taking him out because there were so many mobs to handle in the last couple of encounters.
BTW you might need a rota before slow then a single cleric can heal the MT with no prob. In order to kill him safely you have to do all the fight in fountain so you will avoid lot of add. Hope that it helped good Luck on your POP journey!!
