I found the respawn on this mob to be along the lines of some of the other quest mobs in Classic EQ expansions. The spawn time is about 3.5 days + or - about 4 hours.

I found this guy up after several days of looking. I had been hanging out there a fair amount, but it is possible he had been killed a time or two and I missed him. Alternatively it may have taken that long for him to respawn. He was located at the top of the north east pyramid, just inside the little hut that is there. He is basically underneath the 'living void' which is on the roof of the hut. He was flagged as a raid target (this creature would take an army to defeat). I agree with a previous poster, that he is not spawned from a place holder, as the spot I found him in was without any previous spawns noted, and seems to be a spawn based on time elapsed since last killed. He did not see invis, but he some how aggro'd on me. I don't know if I broke invis or what happened there. He had a pet, but I am not sure what happened to it due to the mess which developed. Once he engaged me, he was a straight forward fight, no bad habits were noted, and my baby didn't have any ae's affecting her. All of a sudden at the end of the fight, maybe twenty, maybe ten percent life left on the mob, and me at like 98% of full health, this guy takes off like a fire was lit underneath him. He ran so fast I could not get a snare off. He ran with me chasing him, and died on the bottom level of the pyramid, which means I had a major train on me. Loot was two crude bone altars, and a research item, which confirms a previouis post saying he dropos two of the crude bone altars. I looted the crude bone altar, and the necro, who was lev'd, swooped in from the skies, to get hers. Given the ranger's rapidly declining hp's at that point, the research item wasn't checked as to identity. (I hope it wasn't a part of yaesth's compendium page 73 (r)). She gated, while the ranger tried to train out, but that was not to happen. The ranger died a hero, having sacrificed herself for the young one. I don't remember a single other mob in all of this place running. And this one ran FAST, until the very end, when it just stopped running and died! If you are going to take him out, he is an easy solo, but be prepared for a run. I don't know if he is immune to changes in run speed, but it would be just like SOE to make a runner non snareable.
