A couple of posts have pretty accurate info already, just bumping with more recent info from logs:
56 monk tank; 380ac:
Incoming DPS: ~67
Max hit: ~175 -- also has 200dd proc
HP: ~19k
Highly MR; no slows.

Did as a 55 Monk (Intricate Defiant gear, 4950HP, 1430AC, 60AA) and rogue merc. Didn't use any external buffs, but used a damage shield potion (Skinspikes VI), Stone Stance & Mend. I feigned a couple of times to let the rogue tank for a while also... was a safe fight and I ended up around 50% with merc around 80%.

Sleeping ogre is at -1456, -119

You can clear the room w/o him aggroing. Tok him down fairly easily with 70 shm (ty so much haiden) and me 59 monk.

Invis'd into the Sleeping Ogre's room, no see invis otw.

2 boxed him with a 66 monk, 46 AAs nice gear, pre-elem (buffed to 6.6k) and a 62 sham, crap gear, 2 mana regen, and 10 AAs.

Only needed (3) 1800 hp heals on the monk. Only landed Malo, didn't try the disease based slow, but no dots landed. Very easy fight. He does run at 20% - fire off Innerflame and he's dead before the adds.

pretty easy

It was pretty easy fight had a 65 BST a 65 Mage a 61 Pally and a 55 monk. A bit of overkill .... but was very easy.

The only hard part about this guy was the fact he ran at 20%. I was 5 boxing 65 ench, 65 clr, 65 war, 51 mnk, and a 65 dru. War and mnk kept beating on him while he kept getting lt blue adds. My monk died because of a FD fail but only after managing to loot his head.
Other then that it was easy and went smooth. You can run to him with invis up you will just need a porter to get back out again or you will have to run through Droga I think.
As others have said he is highly MR. Tashed him and still slow, snare, and various other attacks failed to land. He even almost full resisted my druid's fire nukes (they landed for 32 and 60pts on a 1.6k nuke).

It's generally excepted that none of the Celestial Fist monks are those races. They are sprites that take the form of those races. Fire sprite is takes the form of an Iksar, Air sprite takes the form of a Human, Earth sprite the form of an Ogre, Water sprite takes the form of a Dark Elf. Then the head sprite is human at first then a giant sarnak skelly.

So the monk races are human, iksar, undead, and sprite.

OK, Wet Willie, So an "Sprite in the form of an Ogre" doing the flying kick would not be priceless?

Return to the 7-11 and return the slushie, and pick up your sense of humor.

Did him yesterday, was very easy. Loc is approx -1400, 0. The sleeping ogre is indifferent so you can clear out the area before you engage him. Handed in Breath of Gwan then FD'd and Tank took aggro. Fight took only 56 seconds, dropped like a sack of rocks. Cleric didn't even need to heal, just meleed. Group was 65 Shammy, 65 Chanter with DC pet, 61 Warr, 60 cler, 58 monk, 52 monk.
Will any spells land on him?
# Jul 27 2003 at 4:02 PM Rating: Decent
Can Necro Lifetaps land on this guy? They are almost lure (-200 Resist Adjust). What about other resists? Can the Necro low resist Poison, Fire or Disease based DOTs land on him?

I wanna know because at some point I will be asking my guild to help me take him when its time for my Monk alt to do the epic. My main is a Necro and very often when fighting high MR mobs I've noticed that I am one of the few casters that can get any spells to stick. I am thinking I can camp my Monky nearby to loot the quest piece after the fight and use my Necro during the fight.
#REDACTED, Posted: Dec 23 2002 at 9:08 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I took this guy yesterday hes an easy fella. I had 10 people there and really it was overkill. The only problem I really had was getting the people there took longer to get there than to kill him. I had 3 wars (57,52,45) SK (50) monk(me 51) LOL 3 Clerics(can't remember lvls) a rog(55) and I dun remember the last person sorry. But this guy was very easy given I had the clerics only took a few minutes to kill. Goin to do my final fight some time this week!! This time it will be MAJOR overkill yes to some it may sould boring but I like to be safe i plan to have about 4-5 clerics yes yes thats right but my guild is chock full of em. My tank will be lvl 60 and I will have casters this time hehe. So you can beleive me when i say OVERKILL.
#REDACTED, Posted: Dec 01 2002 at 9:24 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I think this is the ogre monk for the Monk epic he is MEGA hard to kill he is almost 100% MR and has 27k HP he is supposed to Quad for in the 200-300 and he flying kicks for about 100 I think he also Intimidations and he might mend so be careful

I didn't ACTUALLY suggest this myself, but heard it for some dragons in Kunark... anywayz. If he really does have 27k hps, then just get a FG of friendly wizzies with manaburn ^_^, instant death. 6 mana burns = 32k hps.

If you really payed attention and new anything about wizzers you would know that Manaburn has been Nerfed. Only 1 MB can hit any mob within a certain Time limit. It was nerfed becasue MB wizzers would get together and go kill things they shouldn't be killing

Look at the date; it's before they patched it in. I doubt he can predict the future, but you didn't realize the date thing... so no one is at fault. Happy birthday, everybody.

RE: how hard?

MB hits through 100% resistance as it is un resistable
#REDACTED, Posted: Apr 06 2003 at 6:25 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) newbie its unresistable
RE: how hard?
# May 16 2003 at 12:31 AM Rating: Default
Most epic mobs that are "100% magic resistant" quite frankly, Never are.......they resist alot more, but once tashed, i can ussualy get a spell or two to land on them
RE: how hard?
# Feb 21 2003 at 9:04 PM Rating: Decent

Yes, very HIGH MR. Complete resist on Draught of Fire. Between Lure of Ice and Lure of Flame, I was able to land about 50% of these, maybe a little more.

Concussion of course, wouldn't land at all.

Yes, he summons, he doubles for about 200ish and will start to run away once he is low on health (well he did for us).

This guy is for the monk epic, you give the Sleeping ogre breathe of Gwan and Trunt spawns. Kill trunt and loot the Rock filled head for another peice of monk epic..
