You say, 'Hail, Thall Zun Ravali'
Thall Zun Ravali lowers two hands to his hips, steepling the fingers of his other two as he levels you with an inquisitive, but wary look. 'Lumanes, traveler. It is not often that we find a Human like you wandering around this part of Xauinae. Ah, I think you know it better as 'Luclin.' Xean vaukal.... That means 'my apologies.' I am still working to learn the common tongue. As you can likely tell, we are not the same as the akheva at the lek outpost. That is the 'northern' outpost. They will kill you on sight. We will at least speak to you first. It's one of the major [differences] between us and them.
You say, 'Differences such as?'
Thall Zun Ravali says, 'For quite some time, the akheva were the only beings on Xauinae. Then, others began arriving - the shissar, the kerrans, the Combine Empire. Some, such as I, believed we could live peacefully with these new neighbors. The others believed we should reclaim Xauinae through bloodshed... [thoxrulour], as we say. They outnumbered us, and now we've been forced into hiding. '
You say, 'I've seen a lot of thoxrulour in my life'
Thall Zun Ravali's arms relax at his sides. What appears to be a smile forms across his face, but it seems hollow, as though he is trying it for the first time. 'Perhaps you can help us then? The gorangan refugees here are planning a rebellion. We are supporting them as much as we can while staying hidden from the northern outpost, but we could use your help. Six hands are better than four, hm? A little akhevan humor for you.' The vague, hollow smile reappears on his face. 'Clearing out some of the creatures that terrorize our settlement would allow the goranga a reprieve to [focus] on their plans.
You say, ' You focus on that, I'll focus on the creatures'
Thall Zun Ravali says, 'Ut ans va xauisis ura.... It translates to 'may the shadows protect you.' This is our way of saying, 'I hope you do not die,' mortal.'
