The golems all spawn at 10% -- but they are non-aggro and cannot be attacked.

90 necro 3919 aa's, 90 chanter 2341 aa's, 90 war 1745 aa's. 2 healer mercs, 1 wiz merc

1 cleric on instant heals.. 1 cleric on balance...sometime during the battle when I saw how long it would be, i switched them both to balanced.

Sent war in with final stand, hit all agro discs, had merc wiz on burn but not asisst, chanter slowed and tashed, warrior engaged until the adds started popping.

Adds started, war hit assist, then merc wiz burn mode, chanter started AOE spam mez and hit Tash AA, had runic aura and twincast aura runnning.
It would seem to make more sense to have wiz on AOE burn, but no, it's better for them to focus on one add and fry it , while others are mezzed. Otherwiee, it breaks all mezzes and mobs go for chanter.

Chanter spammed group rune every chance he got and mez, he kept most mezzed. necro added dps on the dirt mob adds. sometimes he added all the dps cuz merc was burning others .

Necro hit greater hold on pet so it stayed on the raid mob... hit all my discs ....still took about 15 min.. I hit death bloom 2 or 3 times.

secret was chanter rune... chanter had twin cast and rune aura on. nec had potion that procced on any spell he cast. chanter spammed that group rune - 2 peridots per cast .. helped a lot

Wiz merc ran out of mana about 10 minutes? Into it. I think when mob was like 25? 20? percent .. can't remember .. sometime at the end.

at 10 percent the othe raid mobs pop.. had saved necro click muram robe. and uf click robe and 3rd spire... that last 10 percent took like 30 seonds.. whole battle took like 12 minutes . maybe 15. All the 10 percent adds despawn when main mob is dead.

mez doesn't work on adds. Just AOE tash and the necro dots em / wiz merc burns em to death

If the mob didnt drop loot, I guarantee the Raid leaders wouldnt care how familiar the guild was with that encounter! ha!

No offense intended here... but he doesnt drop anything worth farming (aside from rune) and not totally poosative those are worth the effort being as rk. II to rk III is no bigger a jump than rk I to rk II.

Guess an 85 percent speed mount - same as a LoN mount, or a glowing drum/ornate chain bridle - just ain't worth farming..... although, almost all the loot is junk for toons these days. However, for a lower level alt, it ain't bad to have a piece of raid gear with nice avoidance, etc.

Also can get essence of speed from Oblivion. I got 3 of 'em for my toons, before the free LoN mounts came out.
Both "raid" mobs are boxable. Some monk said he moloed Oblivion. Might have. Necro gets to close, gets silenced, so no...I can't.

You need to keep Severan near his spawn point, inside the perimeter of the totems, otherwise his regen goes WAAAAY WAAAAAAY up.

Having your raid parked inside the totems, close to his spawn point, has several big advantages:

1. Your raid will not have to contend with the trash repops around the totems if your raid keeps inside the totems; the trash seem to have low-aggro range in this area.

2. It'll be much easier for the tanks to pick up the Direwind Gust adds (which seem to spawn at intervals of 1.5 to 2 minutes) when they spawn.

That's nothing.
Glacier in icefall hits up to 4k and is single groupable.

Ya, 70+ people all level 70+ in time gear can easily take him.

The hard part is dealing with the adds and totem ae
But a Time guild should already be pretty familiar with that.

HAHAHHAHAHA not that any guild is gonna share with the general public for a couple years. Strats are a guilds greatest strenght along with a solid, skilled raid force. They aren't going to just hand them over.

and that's a snobby attitude as far as i'm concerned. There hasn't been a reason for it for many expansions, when there was real competition for raid mobs.

DIffernce is... in a few expansions there has been few to no raid mobs that wernt instanced. This mob is NOT instanced, it spawns in a static zone.. So guilds that farm it would rather other guilds on there server not know how to kill it, and thus, they get it more often. It Makes total sense.

I think the main reason one mob is farmed over and over by the same guild is more to do with the raid force having familiarity with the encounter. There's typically a lot of targets with similar difficulty and similar rewards, but once people get a raid 'down' they'd rather stick with that than learn something new. Ironically, they wouldn't need to do that if we were all nicer and wrote up very good strats for each raid.

Maybe i'm a positive kind of person, but I think most people don't post strats because it's time consuming to do so, rather than they're too selfish to think beyond their own needs.
