Just took him down 04/28/06 at 8PM EST. Did it with myself (70 pally, 13khp/2.1kAC) and a 70 bard with 700ish AA. He was kind of a pain in the *** cause the bard couldnt get him slowed right away, hit mostly for 400s, several in the 800 range. Fight took about 3 minutes, and ran me OOM from healing and casting undead spells on him. Slay undead helps here as well, but this CAN be done with just you and a friend, if ya get some buffs first. If your friend is a healer, then you have no problem.
Just killed him today. Massive overkill and only brought 1 group. All members decently equiped. Warrior had 13.5k buffed and never went down below 80%. Had 2 adds as well.
70 Paly (me) 70 War 70 Druid 70 Ranger 70 Cleric 70 Cleric (boxed by war)
went to kill him today and had 10 other guildies volunteer to come along. we fought at the succor point on the north west part of zone, took a bard to Dry Sapara, I hailed and mage CotH'ed me, bard single pulled to camp. fight lasted about 30 seconds, I never went under 85% during fight, as you can spawn the mob with a hail, its worth atempting to solo if you are well geared. certainly the gaurdian worm I had to kill before I hailed sapara seemed easier.
Not really soloable, but I did beat him with just myself and a druid, elemental/some early GoD geared on both, decent AA. I fought him when I was lvl 67 and druid was 65, and we beat him. Only got hard when we kept getting dragon adds during the fight lol, so pull him up on the hill, for safety's sake :)
We did this mob this evening (7/30/05) and were worried that it was going to be tough. Really wasn't. Rithnok The Tormented can easily be taken down with one group.
Used the druid for heals, Karana's Renewal, was no problem at all. Once the mob was slowed it was cake. Fight lasted about 2 or 3 minutes, only damage taken was to the 70 pally tank.
Easiest way to spawn the mob is to clear out all the wyrvens in front of Dry Sapara, then Hail Dry Sapara, and Rithnok will spawn.
Didn't get a loc on the spawn, but, if you are standing in front of the Veeshan Peak entrance where Dry Sapara is, looking out into Skyfire. Turn left and go left of VP, around the entrance, soon as you see the first boulder to the right will be the spawn point.
