Every 30 seconds, "Life Splinter" is cast multiple times over on everyone on its hatelist. The higher on the hatelist the player, the more hits from the spell they take. It also has a knockback component.

I set up in the corridor just outside the deadend circle at the end of the tunnel on the map above. Set a campfire. cleared the 3 muddites in the room and then cleared the wandering goblin and then took down the hydra in the room. Even though it is not listed as a spawn PH it really is. kept clearing muddutes and wandering goblin then the hydra in the room and corridor til the Living Shard popped. Took him down with 100 necro, boxed 100 shaman, boxed 100 druid. Had levi on all of us and was bounced regularly but without huge damage. Merc tank and 2 merc healers were used. Shammy and druid just healed and slowed and crippled mob. Necro did all the casting damage. Mob had 4.5 million HP on parse. Took 298 seconds to kill him.

any idea on how to kill this guy? seem to die instantly when he hits me with the knock back...

Took him to the northern tunnel right next to his eastern spawn point (where he was up). Tanked him with my box team (Warrior, Bard, and Shaman cotf group to cotf raid geared) huddled up against the wall. Levi prevented any real hindrance from the knock back, being in the enclosed hallway helped as well. Not sure why you are insta dying unless perhaps you are trying without levi? Not sure why that would do it either tbh. The spell damage from his AE is completely negligible. I did have Mage Hunter up just in case but all in all this is in an incredibly simple fight, high hp trash mob imo.
