I spent time camping the East room from the maze, as well as camping him in the West room and no joy.
I finally spent time camping him at the bottom of the slope just where you have to click the torch to open the wall. There are two ice golem's that spawn in alcoves either side of the path. I camped there and got him to spawn after about an hour.
Due to this and the rest of the posts below about how he spawned in different spots for others, I can only suggest any ice golem is his PH.

I had him pop in the room EAST of maze... label "shade treasure" on mapfiend map. the pop was on the SW corner mob (ie immediatly right coming in the room)
On 9-12-07 he was up after the patch reset. Track showed him behind the statue leading to the maze area.

just killed on bristlebane, still spawns

10h of camping and no spawn so far,
dont expect the mobs in his room to be easily splittable, its easier if you just fight 2 at a time.
can anyone confirm if he does spawn in the room to the east of the maze too ? Cause that room seems to have way more IceGolems as possible PH in it.

He spawned in the room to the East of the Maze last night.

Can anyone confirm that this mob is still spawning? We camped it for about six hours today and saw nothing. Yesterday, however, we did find a mob named Gadrik in Frostcrypt that isn't listed in Illia's and that we had never seen before. I'm wondering if they replaced one for another or if we just had really bad luck.
where exactly is this mob ? by description please i dont do loc
just paste this line into the bottom of your frostcrypt_1.txt map when you're not in the zone and save the changes, and you'll have a label of where he is.
