Anyone know if this guy is charmable? If I can charm him, I can heal him while the giants and tracking wolves are whacking him and keep him alive during the 8th shawl spawn cycle.
not charmable ,... tried that one already
Doesn't really matter anyway, you just need enough tanks or kiters to hold aggro off him. Even if he gets hit a few times he regenerates fast between fights.
Done the quest about seven times now and the closest he's come to dying is when a pet somehow aggroed on him. Otherwise it's pretty easy if you bring a few tanks and stay organised.

He CAN NOT have his speed changed which i found out the hard way. Ohhhh by the way the hit me for 147 and 177 b4 i gated back to good old Rathe.
Is he on Coldain faction, or Dain faction?

This guy is for the 8th shawl quest, which is a tedious and long quest to attain. Quest mobs are for QUESTS...
He doesn't have any loot.
Why any of you would want to kill him, other than just to be mean...
Just leave the guy alone plz so people that have worked hard to get to this point can have the guy up when they need him..

Anybody know how long the General takes to respawn? I've heard 30 minutes and also 24 hours, but would like to know the actual time.

It's longer than that. Been 4.5 hours and nada.
Cons red to me at 37th level. I didn't try to take him down. I dont believe that he is 35th level.

Well I don't know how you did it but as a level 42 druid with KEI i pumped all my DOT's into him and ran around the island 7 times (he resists root and snare) aprox 10 x all 4 of my DOT's... he did not register as being damaged at all... and he hits hard.... so eventually I just ported out
